I love the sound of rain on a metal roof! My childhood bedroom was under a tin roof.

Sunny with the highs around 27°. This is going to last through tomorrow (Friday). After that, the old joke about what do you call a sunny day after two days of heavy rain will be heard again.

In New York City it is very, very, very, very humid. Thunderstorms two days in a row. The one on Tuesday was a monster, about 3:30pm.

Man, it's miserable out, isn't it Pooh? My deck weather station says 84 with a heat index of 90 and 70% humidity.

That must have been the one that rolled through here at 2:45.

And Wednesday we had another heavy thunderstorm at ... 2:45. But, I think that one was headed more to the south.

And it's still humid. At one point overnight the temperature was 69 and the dew point was 67. (All degrees F.)

Hmmm... it's a good day to step outside, look up, open your mouth and drown. The temperature is hanging in there at 13° so not overly warm.

We had very pleasant weather Thursday, for a change. Low 80s F. with low humidity in the afternoon and 77 F. when I went out before the sun set. Humidity about 36%. AC is off and windows are open.

It feels like we've skipped spring and went straight to mid summer. Within a week we went from temperatures around 13C, to temperatures over 25C.

The last couple of days have been warm, 25 - 27C. From today we're getting a couple of cooler days before another couple of hot days, possibly 30C. After which it's supposed to cool down again.

Right now it's misty and humid, though it's supposed to get sunnier later in the morning and eventually around 24C.
