We have an ice storm forecast for tonight -- our first true ice storm in 10 years or more. As long as it doesn't do too much damage (downed tree limbs, power lines, etc.) it should be better tomorrow. We're due for some sun and temperatures near 50 degrees F.

We've been deluged by heavy, soaking rains for the last few days; but the sun made an appearance today and gave me hope that we've seen the last of the downpours for a while. That hope was short lived, however, as I see from my weather app that rain is expected to begin again around three in the morning and last until roughly Labor Day.

Yep. It started snowing just before dawn.

Unfortunately, I had to drive in it. Fortunately, there were very few other cars on the road.

There are four or five inches of snow and sleet on the ground. We're in a bit of a lull right now, but the snow should start back up again tonight.
