For the life of me I can't figure out that Litsy app. I want to add books to read and there is no way to do it. It tells me I have 0, well yeah. But when I click the +, all I can do is write a review, add a blurb or a quote. No add a book. Very confusing to be honest. I managed to add a book I read, because I picked the review button, but typing on a phone isn't going to be much in my future I am afraid. Can't just hit a thumb button without text it seems. I also don't find any feeds, or what others are taking about with books.

Probably not for me if it is totally depending on followers and follows.

The easiest way to add a book is too find a Post with it then click the book icon and add to stacks. You can also tag a book when you post a blurb, review or quote. It's all I've figured out too.

Ah just figured it out. Use the search icon and you can add books that way.

Duh, I feel dumb now. Thanks a lot. That book stack icon is so tiny I never saw it. I assume the plus sign is to add stuff, but its the search. I don't see any posts though, I turned off the suggested postings and now I don't get nothing . Its a bit weird to get used to. Doesn't seem that many read the books I do as so far the ones I added had no other tags or reviews or anything.

Anything to get folks reading more is a good thing though. I am in awe of those who's long reviews I see. How the heck does one type that much and fast. I feel like a one legged chicken pecking away and typing everything wrong and having to go back and fix punctuation and spelling, etc.

In the sponsored/suggested feed, I don't really see reviews of books, there are a lot of blog type posts with photos and where they are going and this and that. That's social media I guess. I feel old sometimes.

Ohhh thanks for the tip on searching hashtags. I thought that was just a twitter thing. what does #romansy stand for, just a generic tag for romance books?
And yay for the #osrbc one. Since facebook is such a pain for me, this might keep me at least a bit connected to what is going on there.

I actually like this better than I thought after playing with it for a while.
If I could just figure out a way to make posting, or reviewing easier. Just one sentence to write is like torture for me. So sloooooooooooow. Peck peck pec

Now to see if there is a way to save those searches. The less I have to type the better.

I'm relatively sure that my checking time for books in 3m library used to be 14 days, but now it morphed to 21, and I don't remember how to set it back to 14. Also, I would very much like to have app show me only books in English but I can't figure that out, too. Can someone help?

When my library had 3M they set the checkout length and there was no way to change it. Not sure if that is still the case.

Can you return the book(s) "early"?

For languages, try under "filters" or "settings" on the main menu. I would think if you're able to change the number of days for the checkout it would also be under settings. But then again the 3M program isn't the most logical or user friendly one in the world

Yes, inside the app you can return the book, although you cannot change the checkout language.

How is Litsy compared to Goodreads? Is it something similar? Totally different?

Harlequin's response to my email about the points was less than helpful - it was, word for word (including layout & spacing) identical to the email they sent me Sept. 29th saying it would take 3-7 days for the points to show in my account. Well, I submitted the receipt Sept. 19th, so by my count, it has now been 22 days.....

Sorry to hear that. They normally have really good customer service, at least that's always been my experience. There's been times it took a few emails to straighten things out, but not usually the extended wait time between emails.

I would try calling them. 1-800-847-8270 is the number they list in the FAQ.

No it's more like Instagram for books. It's a social media site for reading. You can add books to your stacks but it's really not a serious site for keeping track of your books like Goodreads. It's more like a place to follow fellow book lovers and be followed. You post reviews, book blurbs or quotes on your feed. There is a limit way of commenting on a post. It's mostly for fun.

For me it's like GRs status update feature but in rich media format. I really like it.
