We are currently in the midst of a full-fledged French Toast Emergency!

The weather services are forecasting a major Nor'easter snow storm for tomorrow and Thursday. Most models say my area should get between 6 and 12 inches of snow, but the most extreme models say a maximum of 18 inches is possible. We should also be getting some sleet and freezing rain in the mix.

I was just out at Costco picking a up a few items to tide us over in case we can't get out until the weekend, and the place was mobbed. Honestly, I expected it to be.

And, French Toast Emergency? Well, everyone was buying milk, bread and eggs. What else could they be making?

Well, Pooh, it seems like what we got was a very cold rain instead. It was miserable out when I ran my wife to her office for the day. Every arthritic joint I have is reminding me of its presence today.

I am pretty sure I will never go back to the office full time. I am more productive at home.

My back deck is starting to freeze over a bit.

Well, we only got about 8 inches of snow ... but it was mixed with sleet and freezing rain, so it's wet, heavy snow. We got a path shoveled up the driveway. We'll widen it out tomorrow.

My back hurts!

As usual, we're getting an arctic blast on the tail end of the Nor'easter. The temperature tonight will be in the low teens and we should be at 0° (F), give or take a couple of degrees, by Saturday morning.
