I don't do well with tomato plants (which is why I only have one this year ) My roses do very well (no matter how many times I chop them down or prune them to skeletons). Go figure... It takes forever to dead head them and pick up petals and still they thrive! Anything else I plant, that I want to grow... just dies. I do have good luck with citrus trees in pots. I have grapefruit, orange, and tangelo trees.
hm, tangelo ! i'm not sure i know exactly what that is, but it sounds good. to be honest, at this point, i'm not going to take any chances on anything other than cat grass, whose pre-programmed early death is apparently just part of the deal. hopefully someday i'll have a large and sunny balcony, and then i'll try the tomatoes again.

yes, that's the most important, definitely. good luck, little chicken !

a tent ? is it the kind that you "build" by throwing it in the air and it magically lands in tent form 1 second later ? i'm only interested in those because they look like so much fun to throw. personally, i'm not too excited by the whole "sleeping out in the damp, cold, hard, lumpy nature where there are a lot of bugs" idea. send us a postcard though, when you do it.

Currently lounging around in Bermuda shorts, drinking ice cold lemon tea and watching the Police clean up the last of the blood and mess from the street where two drunken idiots fought it out last night with broken bottles. Ahh....England, don't you just love it?

Well... at least on the US and German map of my new game. Apparently after I went to beddy bye post game win... one of the up stairs toilets leaks... then my teenager was oblivious too... dripped down through the celing onto the game board that we had left set up.

The playing board is all sad and water damaged now. I am very disappointed.

However, we think there is hope. My wife reminded me we have purchase protection on our credit card and we think they will pay for a replacement. Not that it was a lot of money... but $45 is no small amount.

Ok... off to put some more chemicals in the pool. Still having trouble with that... although some massive work on it yesterday and this AM most of the green seems to be gone. Granted my wife did most of the hard work... taking apart the filters and cleaning it of all built up DE powder and algae.

We looked at those, but apparently even with a yeti in them they're not much good in the wind. So we went for something he can just about stand up in! Two groundsheets and a carpet (really!) deal with the cold and damp, foam/inflatable beds deal with the bumps, and mozzie nets on some of the doors

I recently had a roof leak and the drywall was a sodden mess to tear out. I hope you don't have too much of a mess.

So sorry about the new game board. you can get it replaced soon.

One reason I was so happy about moving was that our pool at the old house would be someone else's headache. The problem now is that the new house has a large waterfall pond that requires almost as much work!

My idea of camping (now that I am older) is to find a nice hotel with hot showers. I hope you have a great time.

When I came back from weeding the garden, I found this note on my refrigerator:

Quote:
By the time you read this, I’ll be gone. I’m going back to the Kingdom of Id, where the King enjoys my craft. (Well, except for that one ill-fated show where—because of a temporary lapse of judgment—I thought it would be a hoot to do a theme show featuring my best “short people” jokes.)

I appreciate the chance you gave me to be your Avatar, even if it was for only 24 hours. Please don’t concern yourself that my abrupt firing could be interpreted by some legal authorities as a Breach of Contract. Quite frankly, I didn’t want the job anyway, especially at the meager salary you were paying. I understand your funds are limited, though I never could understand why it is that if you’re so smart, why you aren’t rich. I don’t really blame you for the way you were so quick to throw me under the bus when it turned out that many at MobileRead didn’t care for my “type.” You were just doing what you had to do to survive. That’s what political types do. Speaking of which, have you ever considered a professional career in politics? You’d be perfect!

I won’t disgrace your doorstep ever again. Have fun with your so-called “friends” at MobileRead. You deserve each other.

Regards,

Sparky
I hope all of you are happy now.

Thanks.

The ceiling is fine... not enough water to really hurt it... but plenty enough to ruin the game board.

I have already ordered a new copy from Amazon. We are going to contact the credit card company once the charge shows up on the cc. It was bought at a small local game shop, it seems that they batch their cc stuff rather than do it real time.
