Quite possibly though he keeps making mentions that suggest he is currently a resident of the UK. I had a couple of the best cups of coffee I've tasted while in the UK decades back. I also had several cups that suggested the coffee was swept off the floor and then packaged. Admittedly I also had a couple of the worst cups of tea I've had on that trip. For some reason, I was not expecting a nameless teabag in a cup of lukewarm water in a British "tea shop".

Huh. As an unrepentant Yank, I think your concept of regular American coffee is not entirely accurate. I know what you mean, but much depends on location and venue. No one has to drink that particular flavor of joe. Perhaps it’s like claiming the typical Aussie cuppa is PG Tips?

Not because it's good, it's instant with powdered non-fat milk mixed in.
It's simply that it's a known, it's hot and it can neither fail nor exceed expectations.

My large cup of coffee first thing is a must have. Boring Maxwell House, with a bit of sugar and creamer. Hubby likes the same. No burnt over roasted $3 a cup Starbucks for us.

On a more technology oriented item, I had fun with my neighbour's Dell computer this morning. They installed a new video driver which was not downloaded from Dell and the only way their computer was able to boot to the GUI was to boot in safe mode. I removed the driver and now they can boot in normal mode using the default Windows driver. When we tried to install the correct video driver from Dell, the install failed. Finally got the install to work by rebooting into safe mode and doing the install from there. I got to give my canned lecture on not installing anything from a random site based on advice from a random stranger. Yes, you may have had an video issue running a specific game. Did you check Dell's site for any video driver updates? And installed it along with the 15 other updates since the laptop was purchased ~3 years ago.

That reminds me of a time umpty years ago, when I was a lifeguard at a park that had iron oxide in the water (naturally, not pollution.) I left my watch on my towel underneath the chair. Water dripped on it. Strangly, enough, once it dried out, it had *better* performance, even adding a function that had not been present before. The trace of iron left apparently made a new circuit.....

it took a few days to dry out I guess for the pen is finally working again. lol thank god. I will never do that again!

I hated coffee all my life till i was 43. Had my first pumpkin spice and loved it. I need lots of creamer tho or i will not like it. Can't stand black coffee. 1/4 - 1/3 of my cup is creamer at least lol

So you like a little coffee in your creamer? I know a couple of people with the same habit. One of these days I will find out why ordering coffee black means with no cream or sugar. Even dissolving 6 tablespoons of sugar in an 8 ounce cup of coffee does not affect the colour.

I like the smell of coffee. Unfortunately, it doesn't taste anything like how it smells. Yuck.
