You know that throwing away the first steep of a green tea gets rid of most of the caffeine? That could be a way out. Prof could advise you on this issue.

Good morning, all! I checked the "Weather Stick" outside my window. It was wet, so I believe that it's raining today. I find the Weather Stick far more reliable than the radio or TV weather forecasts. If the stick is wet, it's raining. If it's dry, it's not raining. VERY accurate! And as it's wet, and raining, I will celebrate the precipitation with a mug of Lapsang Souchong tea to go along with my muesli and yogurt!

It's time for a tea run. I'm almost out of several different teas that can all be found in the same shopping area downtown Kyoto, so it will be a train ride into the city. I enjoy train rides as it adds an extra two hours of reading time. I'll lunch in my favorite kaitenzushi shop, go to the Chinese import store and the International import shop, maybe a guitar store or two, an hour's reading in Starbucks, then back home again. All in all, and if it works out this way, a nice relaxing day!

(giggles) So I am at the gym working with my friend and our trainer. We are half way into our training session when we start doing an exercise where we throw an exercise ball against the wall. My partner, concerned for my health I am sure*, throws the ball so that it hits the fire alarm and sets it off. The entire gym has to be cleared and the fire department called so our training session ends.

* I have really low blood pressure and have noticed then when i go full out in a work out I get very light headed. Last week I had the slightly dizzy feeling after 30 minutes. A few minutes later our trainer tells me to take a seat with a concerned look on his face. I sat down and looked in the mirror. Vampires had more color then I did. So we are working on my learning to pace myself.

OMG I just time-warped to my childhood! I haven't seen Red Rose tea since I lived in New York as a kid and that's exactly how I drank it.

In fact, I still drink my tea with milk & sugar unless I'm sick, then its honey & lemon.

2000 Talley Vineyards "Rincon Vineyard" Pinot Noir. One of the last two bottles from Talley in our cellar. And no more to be had - not available here in Canada.

10 years of bottle age, and still a youngster, but oh what a lovely youngster. Easily good for another 10, but that last one in the cellar isn't likely to last that long. Sigh.
