Not in my cup, but I've got a can of San Pellegrino Aranciata on my desk. It's mighty tasty along with the sandwich from the Italian Deli.

Edited to say: Superman feels uncomfortable about this (off-topic btw) passage, he thinks I tell too much, and as it his life too, I of course respect his feelings so have to take this back.

Dreaming of a Coke Zero, but only Diet Pepsi here.

Shhhhhh, don't tell pdurrant....

Not bad.
Almost like a pepsi In a sense that it is a light one. Easy drink. A few steps ahead of Glenfiddich 12 or other not smoky whisky.
I drink Enigma 12years
I like it as a gift that it is. I am looking forward to finish it and open Talisker 18 Although, there is 1/2 in the bottle left and it means another 2-3 months of waiting Maybe for Christmas

Somehow, I never expect any malt from Islay to be light.

Was planning on buying a Talisker at the last trip to the BC Liquor store. But the local was out. Next time.

I was very surprised to learn that they/we? finished Highland Park 18. I don't remember how long we have to wait for the next 18y batch to be ready

Re: Bowmore
I am not very experienced, so...
I compare it to the following:
Talisker 12, Highland Park 18 and Laphroaig Triple Wood.
Maybe because Bowmore is merely 40%, it tastes lighter?
Maybe it is just me with only 3 years of experience and drinking one bottle for 4-6 months

I hate public speaking, and I've often been nauseous before teaching a class. It has faded with time, though, thankfully.

Another Saturday Night and I ain't got nobody,
I have some money ‘cause I just got paid.
How I wish I had someone to talk to,
I'm in an awful way.

Good morning, each and every! Happy Saturday... or not. My wife has left me... She's joining her two sisters for the weekend as they visit some very ancient and holy shrines in Mie Prefecture, and won't be back until Sunday evening, so I'm alone for the weekend. What to do?

ROAD TRIP! .

I'll be on the road just as soon as I finish my unbranded Keemun! Actually, the area where they are sightseeing is very pretty. Maybe I'll head that way myself. Wouldn't it be funny if I ran into them!?!

Strong Coffee, con leche (solo un poquito). Kids are still asleep, so I am savoring my last half hour of quietness today, then it's tennis for petit prince, ikea and toy's r us for petite princesse and me, the building site, some time with my brother, picking up petit prince by his friend... there goes my saturday!
Wednesday is a bank holiday here, and we will stay cozily at home, doing NADA and hopefully enjoying the pool. I did swim yesterday, but today it is supposed to be rainy today. I so it will indeed rain, because I allowed petite princesse to draw with chalk on the patio, it is wonderful but very, very big with every tile covered, S is going to have a fit, and if I have to clean it myself on Wed, that'll be a lot of work.... and I'd rather have it washed out by the rain than by me, it is indeed beautiful....

Home again, enjoying a mug of unbranded Keemun tea!

What a perfect day for a motorcycyle ride! Cool, and clear skies, dry roads... Lot's of people out taking advantage of it. Tomorrow should be even better. I'm going to leave in the wee hours so I can make a 200k ride to the Sea of Japan. Gotta get a few rides in up there before the cold weather makes going over the mountains dangerous..

Mister and Mrs. farmer were out in the fields today, cutting down the new rice and hanging it up to dry...

...we shall go rejoicing bringing in the sheaves...

Because of the low grade, it's one of the few green teas I actually like, rather than tolerate. Pearls before swine, I guess.
I remember back in the 70's, when the Macrobiotic folks were all raving about this tea. It was going to be THE cure for all that ails us. Bancha tea they were calling it. Or Twig tea. Although almost all tea in Japan is harvested by big hedge cutting machines, they usually take the time to remove the stems and twigs before it gets sold. With bancha (kukicha) they don't bother, so it can be sold cheaply... except when it gets called 'special.' Then is can be sold for more. The Japanese have long been famous for turning trash into treasure. 'Learning to drink tea from an empty cup...'

Am I the only one who wonders why raw tuna costs more in a restaurant than cooked tuna steaks. Same cut of the fish. In the former, the chef cuts it and puts it on a plate. In the latter, the chef cuts it, seasons it, puts it on the grill, turns it over and grills the other side, and then puts it on a plate. But that's cheaper than if he did nothing to it...

It's a very strange world we live in, Master Jack!

When I read your post, it brought back the strange dream I was having when I awoke this morning. Superman (yes the comic book one) and his sister (??? I guess I made her up) were living this quiet suburban life, but there were complications because of not being able to tell others who they were. They were both married and both had small children. I fit in there somewhere, but now that I'm fully awake I can't remember where.

Black coffee in my cup, although it sounds like I must be drinking (or smoking) something stronger...
