Well, there briefly was a sticky in this forum called "Where's my thread" or something like that, which appeared at the time of the de-stickying. It is now gone from this forum, so all of those comments, which IMS ran somewhat against the de-stickying, are now gone, or moved to somewhere most folks won't find them. I was the first person to express my disappointment in that thread, but basically got patted on the head, and told, "not going to change". I love MR, but have not ever really felt as if my input mattered much. I think it would have been nice to solicit input from the participants IN THIS FORUM before de-stickying, but obviously that wasn't done. To me, moving stuff to the buried-at-the - bottom-of-the-list Feedback forum is pretty much just a way to get it off folks' radar screens - most folks won't follow it there. Anyway, still like MR and just have to find work - arounds..

On another note - is it only ebooks purchased in the US store that qualifies for whatever it is that's being refunded?

My account was opened in the first quarter of 2015, so perhaps it doesn't count?

And now the Kobo buttons are back in the Open Road/Early Bird daily email when I use the "View this email on a web browser" link, but still not showing up in the email itself.

And they actually work, with discounted prices!

Oh well, I'm happy to see them back in any fashion - price matching was getting old, and building me up too much credit...

I tried it on a few random titles (US) and it worked on all of them.

Looks like the un-sticking of this thread was a bit premature, perhaps it should be reinstated, IMO.

I saw the discount in an email. There are so many "eligible titles" that I found it hard to search for specifics, but that also means the odds are I will (finally!) find a few books I'm interested in.

In particular, I'd like to pick up some more "Loon Lake" mysteries and all of the titles begin with "Dead (something or other)" so I checked there. Only three are listed as eligible -- the first in the series and two later ones. I haven't checked to see if those are really the only three that the coupon code will work on.

50JUN seems to be working in Canada right now, and on generally coupon-eligible smaller publishers (at least the ones I spot-tested), thanks!

(ETA: it does not stack with either the SF/Fantasy or LGBT YA/Romance 3 for 2 special offers advertised on the Daily Deals pages, in case anyone was wondering.)

The promo on Kobo's US home screen says 3 days which would have it ending around 24th or 25th depending on when they started counting.

Good timing for indies on this promo, I've been saving up my wish list waiting for this 50% sale. Now they're going to get a big chunk of my Apple money.

The rules say it ends on the 27th, but there's always the disclaimer they could cancel at any time. It's kobo--take your best shot and buy while it works!
