It's going to be a warm couple of days. Today and tomorrow temperatures will reach 28C, tomorrow mid afternoon the rain, possible thunderstorms, will move in to cool things down.

On the way home from work last night I hit two separate rain squalls the likes of which I haven't seen in years. The freeway virtually disappeared in front of me, and my forward looking anti collision radar crapped out saying that the antennae were blocked.

The dangerous part was some drivers slowed appropriately, but others just barreled on through; creating a situation with some slow cars and some fast ones. A rear end collision just waiting to happen. Luckily none happened in my vicinity (or to me) and I arrived home safely, albeit a bit late.

Yea, I was reminded of "Rains at four o'clock" of the South Carolina low country, except that there it happens frequently enough that folks understand the danger of overdriving their visibility.

It's too warm for my taste. And it won't cool down much during the night, so I'll have to keep my fan on tonight.

Tomorrow late afternoon or early evening we get the rain. Hopefully it'll cool off after that.

Another warm day, around 30C, but this morning a band of heavy rain is on its way. Though chances are it isn't heavy anymore when it reaches us. For later today, from 1pm until midnight a yellow weather warning is in place. For heavy rain, thunder storms, hail and wind.

Man, did they ever! I was awoken twice by the flash flood alarms on my phone. Luckily, it has been so dry that Booker Creek was still quite low and only crested at about 2 feet. Will have to keep a closer eye on it tonight though, lest we get flooded into our neighborhood again.

We're having a couple of days of "normal" weather. Temperatures around 20C, some sun, some clouds, occasionally a bit of rain. From Sunday until next Friday it's going to be too hot for me. Some days are above 30C, maybe even above 35C.
