Although we do groan, I think a good pun is its own reword...

The resident angel, BigGirl brought back from a business trip to Turin these pieces of chocolate, called Gianduiotti.
![]() What to drink with chocolate? Traditionally we drink Barolo Chinato. Spoiler:
we had a glas of that and found that the two, the chocolate and wine went very well together. Then I remembered that I had a bottle of a Sicilian wine that was supposed to go with chocolate. Ala ![]() Spoiler:
very good. |

I am having a plate of semi warm spaghettis, had a horrible day, not so sure how tomorrow will be, every single deadline on the building site was NOT met. Superman is in an even worse mood than me. Kids are adorable today, so that saves it all (I love it how they can be really difficult if they want, mostly on sync, but really have antennas for those days when they know/feel you could not take it. They just go as far as they think you can handle, and they are so right...). Will read a bit, then go to bed because today is the "horror day" : morning at Ikea, on a saturday ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Best wishes for a bloody Saturday. At Ikea you could get their elderberry cordial which is not bad at all. If you have some Nordic taste. |

Saturday morning... again. A cup of Taylors of Harrogate's "Yorkshire" tea... again. A bowl of rice and miso soup... again. I'm in a rut. Do you know the difference between a 'rut' and a 'grave?' Vergnano with the Nespresso machine. And then, after that, maybe, it is possible that I take a nap. Yeah a nap. Under a tree. It is only 30°C in the shadow in this beginning of Autumn.

I am back! with a steaming cup of Milk oolong.
Still alive ![]() ![]() Read a lot when I had some energy to, and played with a new HTC phone. I proved to myself a couple of points. I was absolutely right in 2006 and before that, regarding reading off 3.4" screen - rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. Any printed edition would be better even if printed off on A4. Reading off a backlit screen was even worse. Bloody disaster. But I had to try and see whether I was right or wrong. I also realised how good Sony Reader's touch screen infra-red technology was in comparison to HTC one. I also browsed the Internet a bit and again proved to myself why I disliked even my netbook's 10" screen as too small and uncomfortable, let alone 3.4". Besides reading and playing with mobile phone there was little else to do. Everyday, 3 times per day, they brought in a trolley full of steaming meal and very kindly: What would you like to eat and drink? ![]() ![]() ![]() One test was a funny one. In the beginning and in the end of the test they asked me to count backward from 100, detracting 7. They wanted to see whether the fast would slow me down. I didn't argue. AFAIK, I was supposed to count faster after the fast, because my mind and body were cleansed.... ![]() ![]() ![]() Quote:
![]() When in hospital and asked whether I miss food, my answer was No but I did miss my cuppa. When I came home on Thursday, the first thing I did I made a cup of black tea. That was a treat! (I have eaten in Addnebrookes before leaving). Today is the first day when I made other types of tea but black. I wanted black teat only! I have tried both Yorkshire and Yorkshire Gold loose tea. To be honest I am disappointed. Yorkshire looks almost like a dust from tea bags. Maybe slightly larger dust particles. Gold looks larger and tastes better but not by a lot. None comes even close to Fortnum and Mason. Yorkshire was no good even as a breakfast tea. Almost no difference vs. tea bags of Yorkshire Gold. It could not overpower food flavour. It was lost completely. Yorkshire will go to the office. Yorkshire Gold will stay at home for now, I will give it a few more chances. Tea House Emporium's English Breakfast is better. Then again. I think I got as much quality as it costed me. Both tea are dirt cheap in Tesco. What did I think I could get if Taylors Yorkshire Leaf Tea 250g - £1.88 & Taylors Yorkshire Gold Loose Leaf Tea 250g - £2.12. As cheap as tea bags if not cheaper. ![]() Two more tea off my list ![]() Quote:
What is the difference between peat and smokiness? I thought they describe the same flavour. But I am a relative newbie in scotch ![]() Quote:
The first part: My composter arrived a few minutes ago. I thought you were talking about cooked Pu-Erh. The second part: The Hubby went with a totally different... This bit gave me a pause. I stopped for a moment and scratched my head (figuratively). My thoughts were: Hmm. I don't remember she ever mentioned he liked tea. ![]() ![]() Btw., re: older/younger spouses. My Angel is 8 years older than I. I look younger than my age but noone could guess that she is older. Then again, we don't care. At all. to be honest, I was very surprised when I read this topic and at least three couples mentioned that husband was younger. It looks like my suspicions were right. Old prejudices et., n real life people seem to be reluctant to reveal it. ![]() ![]() Last edited by astra; 10-01-2011 at 04:45 PM. |

Just put my son hard to work harvesting my splenda crop (1 plant) so he is pulling the leaves off one by one. Told him if he did that (it will take him a few hours) I would pay him enough to buy the XBox 360 game he wants. He been at it a while now and is starting to re-think the commitment LOL
