No, it has nothing to do with the MR Mystery. I just decided to pick it up as a hobby.

Sorry about that. Unguided objects are a no-no for time travel, I know.

BTW, so long as we happen to be in the same moment, I was wondering if you would be willing to spend a couple days at the 1983 WorldCon? I've already arranged a panel that will discuss who is the better captain: Kirk or Picard. I'm taking Sisko, and I need someone to take the Picard position. Are you interested?

On a related note, if anyone still has the notes they wrote during the panel, would you mind sharing them with me? I'd like to know what I'm going to say.

You're going to predict a female Star Trek captain and be laughed off the panel!!!

Time to get dressed and make my way into town. Borders is launching the Kobo reader today and I am going to have a look at it.

Currently trying my hardest to recreate an art-deco style poster. God-damn but it shouldn't be this hard.

That must be the special Borders right in town. I went to Borders at Chermside a couple of months ago and they looked at me like I had two heads when I mentioned the word ebook or ebook reader.
Things sure change fast in the land of OZ.

Yep, had the same experience with Border at Chermside a few months ago.

Border in town has 3 Kobo eReaders on display. I had a play with one, talked to some interested parties about MR and about other eReader related stuff. Having said that - the staff at Borders were helpful and able to answer my questions.

I still wouldn't buy a Kobo - I think for what it does it's overpriced. But that's me.

While in town I took myself across the Farmer's market. Spend a bit of money there too (never can help myself around food). Now I have to re-think the menu for this week:

Meal 1 for tonite: hot smoked salmon with steamed green aspargus and creamy mashies
Meal 2: Chorrizo with broadbean mash and sauteed potatoes (got myself some kipflers for that)
Meal 3: Green Cabbage with tummy speck, oak smoked sausages and Kassler - will have to start cooking that tomorrow
Meal 4: fried Leberkaese with potatoes and fried egg, salad on side
Meal 5: Borscht - made with those cute little red beets I picked up

Oh, and while I am browsing MR, I am munching on freshly baked 5-grain bread German style with Appenzeller cheese from a Swiss cheesemaker.

Gosh, I am in a happy place right now. Must be one of my better days

Damn it!
I was going to post something brilliant and inspirational, but now I can't because Katti's Cat is eating.
I got two complaints that my posts make people choke on their food or cause liquids to shoot out their nostrils.

Sorry for that. Wouldn't want you choking on a comment so feel free to pm me. I got a tough stomach and nothing will make me loose my food (expect one of those nasty tummy bugs)
