What a voice. With a lover with that voice, I would just sit at her feet, holding the hem of her dress, while she works on her petite point and she tells me never ending nonsenses. He spoke very highly of the beauty and the sweetness of the girls there. My grand mother was from there also. Not with that voice though, With me at least. That place is also where the Italian slow food movement started, that put in motion a number of modern tendencies. Nice place, rolling hills with the mountains in the background. Very agreeable. Great food and very very nice wine. Asparagus country and plenty of fruits. Difficult communications though. In the middle of nowhere. It might be an advantage.

Milk to go with my petit pain au lait aux pépites de chocolat. Yes, it's a sin, but I am alone with les petits princes until sunday, just back from driving superman to the airport, and I miss him, aka the pépites de chocolat. We had such a nice afternoon together, first at the building site (yes, we had a good time, things are moving, workers are nice, weather is fantastic) then here at the pool, I wish he did not have to go. He says it is weird also, being in our old house in Germany without us.
I also hate that airberlin has changed their plane schedule, so that the only viable option now for us is wed-sun. It used to be mon-thu, which made much more sense. Thank god it is only every second or third week!

So. As soon as we got home from her school, around 6, i convinced her to have feet and legs washed, then hands and face. You should have seen the color of the water from the hands. Than I put her on the bed and dressed her comfortably, while she checked the bouncing response of the bed.

Not having to wait for Biggirl, we had dinner at a reasonable time (about a quarter to 7), She had some pasta butterflies and a steamed corncob with butter and salt (her order). I had steamed spinach, creamed with Greek yogurt and mixed with shrimps, and a smallish glass of Croz Hermitage that was hanging around. She liked my food, I liked hers, so we shared. Then for dessert I cut up a fat peach, a kiwi and an early orange from Valencia of all places, delicious. Smothered it with the same yougurt that apparently she likes. You should have seen my handwork peeling and slicing the fruits with her helping me. I have my tricks.

Great time. Now she is happily asleep. on the couch. To night also no teeth brushing. I can have her do the little thing while she sleeps but brushing her teeth with her zombied, that I haven't learned it yet. Luckily, my friend the dentist saw her recently and declared her perfect.
Now I will do my going to bed routine, then pick her up and bye bye loneliness , hello happiness ...

Good morning, all. Storm's past and the sky's blue again. Seems to have taken some of our hot weather with it. That's good. I've been feeling the urge to wear a jacket again. Strange, huh?

As always, good East India Company's "Royal Breakfast Tea" beside me at breakfast. Peaceful morning. I like that.

I too prefer the Scottish Breakfast blends without Lapsang Souchong, but I've had to find them by trial and error. Most do tend towards a smoky essences but I'm not sure it's always from LS. For me, Lapsang Souchong needs to be reserved for rainy and cold afternoons by the fireplace. If I had a fireplace. I guess perhaps Scottish mornings may tend to be rainy and cold? These days I use a video of a fireplace; sound and fury signifying nothing, but works for an idiot like me!
Do I really need more? Nah...

Green smoothie with spinach, mango, kiwi, nectarine, banana and a strong coffee. Forgot to put my half full water bottle in the freezer last night, so going for a walk this morning with a bottle of mildly cold water - which will be warm by the time I drink it. Stupid me !

Peets Lion Mountain Keemun. A tea that seems to improve with age.

OOOLOOONG. i report a recent conversation with Astra.

astra :But which one of oolong? green? black, in the middle?
beppe : I have only one. Tie guang yin fermented at 10%.
astra : I guess it is close to green variety. Floral flavour? (like jasmine tea, not the flavour but the same idea?)
beppe : no no. Deep, warm, both in the color of the taste and in the taste itself. Subtle, never tires me. It was the most expensive in the shop, close to 40 euros for 50 g. From China. She had one from Formosa and we discussed them at long, chewing the tasty pellets. I chose this one because it was more challenging. I will start drinking it soon, or maybe Keemun.

Which I actually did this morning.

Excellent, mouth rich of flavor, a very clean after taste. A nice caffeine kick.
I might start drinking tea again.
Notice the beautiful color of the green leaves. They were dancing while absorbing the water, sinking and surfacing.
