It cooled down nicely today. Only about 23C, though it felt a bit warmer due to mugginess. It was windy today, which made cycling not very fun, but it helped cool down inside. Apparently there were some loud thunderstorms during the night. I missed those, I did wake up and there was still lightning, but no rumbles. A shame, I love a good thunderstorm. Though with a bit of luck I can enjoy some tomorrow afternoon and evening when they are predicted with possible torrential rain.

Can we, just briefly, fold the country up like a taco, so that your thunderstorms get applied out on the Left Coast, where they need the rain?

Just wondering. I'd unfold it after we were done.

I'd gladly endure being flattened for a while. We've had non-stop storms tonight from 6:30 pm ...still going on at 8:30 ... the radar shows a huge red splotch covering most of the central state ... barely drifting east ... lightning constantly flickering in the clouds ... haven't seen a cat for hours ...

The past couple of days it has been very hot and humid beyond reason. Last night we were skirted by some thunderstorms which made for some very dramatic back lighting for the clouds.

Today was hot and extremely humid.

Tomorrow should be much the same.

Then the rains should arrive.

Still very hot here,and cloudy today.Which after six weeks of relentless sunshine,is actually a reasonable change!

You know, when we put in the Feliway that you recommended, our furbaby doesn't care a whit for the storms. She sat with us quite contentedly for hours last night while we read our way through the storm.

We've had a pleasant morning, about 22C but cloudy. It drizzled shortly for a couple of times. In the afternoon it rained harder, of course it started right when I was cycling. It seems that the worse of the weather passed us by. No torrential rains and no thunderstorms. Tonight it is going to get really windy, but it'll stay mostly dry now.

Hector is dragging a bunch of moisture behind him so it's a bit humid today. Humidity is a sticky 81%.

Last night I said it would stay dry, but I was wrong. During the night a lot of rain fell, but no thunderstorms.

Another pleasant day. About 20C, mostly sunny, with some fluffy clouds. So far only a couple of drops of rain has fallen. It was very windy today, more so than yesterday. For tonight thunderstorms and rain are predicted.

Tomorrow very similar, though no rain and hopefully less wind.

Strange weather for Texas in August.

At 3 PM local it's 26 C (79 F) and overcast. . .
