We had some wall-shaking thunderstorms between 4 and 6AM. The rain tapered off around noon. The afternoon temperatures hit 92º (F), the sun occasionally peeked out from between the clouds, and the humidity dropped like a rock. It was a beautiful afternoon!

And, as a bonus, it was so breezy the mosquitoes couldn't land!

Torrential rain this morning .... followed by persistent drizzle ... then ....

it felt like autumn! Sunny, breezy, low humidity, 81 F!

After eons of heat, humidity, and haze days ...

We finished with the rain yesterday morning -- otherwise, our day was much the same.

The high temperature was in the low 80s, not a cloud in the sky, and the humidity was very low.

I'm almost embarrassed about how long I was out reading on the deck.

Today it was cooler than the past couple of weeks and tomorrow it will be a couple of degrees cooler than today with the possibility of a little bit of rain. After that it'll be back to warm and dry weather. The front of the house has already cooled down nicely, but not the back where the bedrooms are. I'm keeping my finger's crossed that the wind direction will change and the bedrooms get cooled down before the temperatures rise again.

Hot and sunny,but with a nice cooling breeze today.
After a week of solid heat (which I like!) this makes
a nice change!

Hi 80's here, humidity under 50%, so it's nice out. We had temps in the high 90's to low 100's last week with 85+ humidity when our kids and grandkids were here...it made it tough being outside.

Temps got to the low 90s, but the humidity (temporarily) dropped and the breeze kicked up. There were a few scattered clouds, but that only meant some shade from the sun.

Just a beautiful day ...

We've reached full Texas summer.

Highs 38+ C (or 100+ F) as far as the eye can see, overnight lows in the uppers 20s C (80+ F) as well.

Crank up the A/Cs, and put ice in the swimming pools, 'cause it's Summer in Texas. . .
