Depends on the number of posts per page you set in your preferences. I set it at 40 posts per page, so it comes to page 375 for me.

OOh, nice drop that. The sad thing (from my part) is that you probably got it cheaper than what I would have to pay for it. (it's about AU$19 here /US$17.5). Still not a bad price for the drop. I love Cab Shaz Merlot blends.

Unfortunately my former state manager has ruined my taste in wines and I can only afford a bottle / week

Should you ever come to Texas, you can have some 2000 Bordeauxs. (Lesser chateaus, but I believe in value for money, not perfection for millionaires.)

Clancy cost $14.98/750 ml here plus 8.5% sales tax. I and my brother went through 2 cases of 2005 in the last 6 months, starting on the 2006 now. Clancy has shifted to screwtops. The 10 year Australian Wine Institute test of closures showed that screwtops vastly outperformed every other type of closure, so this is a good thing. (Quality over tradition.)

I used to hate screwtops as I love the cork and the whole ceremony when opening a nice bottle of red. Now I'm grateful I can get to the stuff fast and can keep it if I don't finish the bottle. I used to hate half drunk bottle and ended up cooking with too much wine.

And hmmm - nice on the Bordeaux. They make some good drops. Overall I like the Australian Reds but prefer the NZ whites.

One of my favorite Reds is the Wolf Blass Grey Label Cabernet Sauvignon Langhorne Creek (2006) but it's real hard to come by now. The Merlot (same year) isn't shabby either.

And I agree with you on the 'value for money' principal. Just a shame I like the expensive wines so much more.

I'm a fan of Riesling in the whites myself, we don't get much of it from NZ here in Texas. I have to admit that I'm living a cushy wine life here. There's a big gourmet grocery store not too far away that keeps a set of shelves of wine that has been independently tasted (in the big wine magazines) and rated 90 or above (on a 100) scale for under $20 US. The 2005 Clancy came in at 90, which is why I started drinking it. You get wines from everywhere, so I sample all sorts of varieties. Next up will be a 2008 Dr. Loosen German Riesling Q.AB. Also rated 90 for $14.98 (and a screwcap.)

My general rule is it has to be under $20 US. I have to have money for e-books, too....

Take it easy, Texas! I come in peace. I'm a Lone Ranger fan. I read Joe Lansdale. I'm just kidding with you.
