Dear All,
it looks like the SD card of my Clara HD went broke. The Kobo does not start anymore, the led blinks a couple of times, the screen goes white and nothing more happens, with the led blinking indefinitely until I force power off.
If I try to make a hard reset, I see the black screen with the five small squares cycling and the message Restoring in several languages. Apparently, the procedure completes, but the behaviour at the start does not change.
I would try to flash another SD card and see if this is the problem.
Please, can you send me the firmware image?
I also noticed that by inserting a new SD card without the image, the Kobo refuses to power on. Is this behaviour normal?

Hi

Trying to fix my in-laws ClaraHD which seems to have developed a fairly common issue where the screen just flashes and I can’t reboot or restore it. The SD card is readable in a laptop but something is clearly wrong with it. I tried seeing if I could just download and extract an older firmware on the SD card and install it that way, but no joy.

I’m at the last resort of trying a fresh install of the base SD card image. Can someone please send me a link or something to it? I have PM enabled. Thanks!

Firmware links are sent by Private Messages. You will need to have Private Messages enabled before you can be sent the link. If you don't see that option in the "Edit Options" of the User control panel, you should post in the Requests to enable Private Messages thread to ask it to be enabled.
