Hi I tested that the PID of the device doesn't changes during upgrade 1.2>1.5>2.0>1.5 About the ADE, the authorization is managed by the PC software and the ADE itself gets the PID from the device. With the firmware 2.0 you can't show the PID in the informations. Luke |

Reflashing the firmware doesn't change the Mobi PID.

I all, I have upgraded my Cybook Gen 3 to firmware 1.5. After some playing some time with the new firmware (1.5) I have a little problem. When I try to lookup a word the Gen3 reboots. I tried moving the dictionary file from the SD to the device main memory (64 MB) whit the same result. Before installing the new firmware (1.5) I had no problem with lookup using the same dictionary. The dictionary file is always installed in the eBook folder either on the SD or device flash. Someone of you had the same problem? Regards |

Hi folks, I have upgraded my Cybook Opus to the epub 2.0 firmware and it seems the device can no longer read the meta data correctly. Books on the library page seem to derive the title from the filename (which as I am using calibre means you get things like "Sole Survivor - Dean R. Koontz_23" and the author is no longer displayed below the title line. Is anyone else having similar problems? Thanks. |

Bugger. Guess that makes two of us so far. I suspect there will be more to come... I have checked the file on the reader and the metadata is definitely correct so the files are being written correctly. It seems this firmware just doesn't read the metadata at all which is, not to put too fine a point on it, rather crap. I would have thought, given the amount of time spent on this firmware release, Bookeen would have at least tested the core functionality... |

I would check if I by mistake hade more than one dictionary on the device and maybe one of them is corrupted and the new firmware detected that by rebooting?

Perhaps the fact that I deleted all Cybook information from the SD card I have the books on before updating the firmware has something to do with it?

I converted a couple of my epubs to Mobi format and gave the new Mobi firmware a go. It works fine - Titles, authors all appear as they should. Looks like the problem is only with the epub firmware. I have fired off an email to Bookeen support. I don't have high hopes but we will see... |
