Gee, I've neglected to bring attention to the many really important holidays that have come and gone this month.

I know that you'd all rather I just go sit in a corner and drop the subject, but I'm waiting for "We don't give a donkey's dookie about your stupid holiday observances" Day before I finally surrender and do just that. I don't know when that day will be, but I'm sure I'll know it when I see it (or one of you will tell me.)

In the meantime, the following is a list of the great observances we've allowed to pass by without a second thought (which is probably appropriate):

Nov. 1 - Plan Your Epitaph Day

Nov. 2 - National Deviled Egg Day

Nov. 3 - Sandwich Day and Housewife's Day (are there still housewives?)

Nov. 4 - Waiting For The Barbarians Day

Nov. 5 - Gunpowder Day

Nov. 6 - Saxaphone Day and Marooned Without a Compass Day

Nov. 7 - National Bittersweet Chocolate With Almonds Day

Nov. 8 - Dunce Day

Nov. 9 - Chaos Never Dies Day

Nov. 10 - Forget-Me-Not Day (pfft)

Nov. 11 - Air Day

Nov. 12 - National Pizza With The Works Except Anchovies Day

Nov. 13 - National Indian Pudding Day

Nov. 14 - Operation Room Nurse Day

Nov. 15 - National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day

Nov. 16 - Button Day

Yep, I admit it. I was helping Mother Earth with a few things and she asked me to set the Earth's thermostat. I was reading at the time and not paying attention (a definite idiosyncrasy of mine) and mistakenly set the temperature a couple of degrees to high.

Please except my sincere apology. I have learned my lesson and will never do it again. . .I promise.
