Hahahaha! Now THAT'S where I'm certainly going to have to agree with you, you notorious hi-jacker!!! "Ok, so this very circumferentially challenged person waddles to the bar and says to the bartender......"[someone else can complete it.] How's that for diplomacy, huh? What does everyone think of Don Rickles' humor? Personally, I think he's a genius. Don

Bad taste in humor is, like obscenity, self referentially defined.

But that´s what´s so interesting about humor -- there´s such a wide disparity between perceptions. I´m absolutely convinced that you feel this way, and yet we have such disparate reactions. I wonder if the truth is probably somewhere between our reactions. Perhaps ´truth´is the wrong word. Perhaps a general consensus would be a better phrase¿ Don |

'bad taste' is anything that the receiver feels uncomfortable with.

Given that the continuation of this discussion would inevitably involve more examples of bad taste, and given that this would inevitably make this or that Mobileread member feel more uncomfortable, I am now going to close this thread. Thanks for your understanding.
