I got an email from DesertGrandma as she had heard about the floods in Oz, (from Leep) and was concerned. She also sent best wishes to Montsmags.

......and failing miserably dearie. I too have a great deal of affection for DGMa, and reading her posts and polls. Maybe she left her stick in the Llounge?

From what I gather it was the 'antiKindle Brigade' that eventually drove her to bow out.

As Kamahl would say "Why are people so unkind?".

DGM has found that MR is not as friendly as it was.

This is why I was intially going to leave, then thought "Bugga it! I'm staying,
and going to give as good as I get."

DGM doesn't need the hassle.

I saw you going and coming and thought it was a brave thing to do.

I thought it was why are people such jerks! Being unkind implies a certain degree of unintentionalness (I just made that up), while being a jerk is more like what I see here sometimes, being deliberately being rude either because they want to get a reaction or they just don't care.
