I handle stress by zoning in on this place.

You don't only come here when you're stressed.
I think you've figured out that by setting up residence here, you can practice stress avoidance. ![]() Very Wise. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of curing bacon or something. ![]() |

The worst place is my bed. I took the habit of reviewing my day and planning the next one only to add up that I did not do enough and that I have to pile it up on the next day's workload. And then... well...I'm here again. ![]() |

Hmmm I tend to channel all negative things into positive ones. So if I'm stressed/angry/etc... I'll generally do a lot more work, clean a lot more, fix things, create things, etc...
If my threshold is really reached(which tends to be near impossible) I need a day or two of doing nothing, enjoying myself and so on. |

What sometimes works for me in that situation is to think of a creative project (NOT one I owe anyone) and work on it in my head. It calms me down and I fall asleep more easily.

For me the perfect place to loose my stress is on the water. It started years ago when I purchased a very old 11 foot boat and outboard motor for about £150. The boat has become a bit better (but not a lot bigger) but the experience is just pure bliss whether its on the river or the sea. Thank heavens I was born on an island lol
