Is C:\Program Files\Calibre2\ in the file path? If you are unable to run the program from a CLI by entering calibre-debug but it will run if you enter "C:\Program Files\Calibre2\calibre-debug.exe", you need to set the path variable to include C:\Program Files\Calibre2\.

If you cd to C:\Program Files\Calibre2 and you are able to run calibre-debug without adding .\ (i.e. .\calibre-debug.exe), your PowerShell is oddly setup.

Unless you are running from source, that change will be in the next release of calibre 7.

I get that too, running from source. But it's awesome that Calibre can already retrieve the images after the latest commit!

That looks okay to me. The only difference is that I don't get the loading translations line likely due to running in English and interface language is set to none.

I'm losing the commands too. Windows 10, calibre is not included in the path variable. As it was working before, I guess the update thas removed the element from the path and it hasn't included it again.

It hasnt, its just some breakage with some windows computers on an update. Uninstall and re-install calibre 7 and you will be fine.

I suspect these Windows glitches are caused by a 3rd Party system maintenance tool that auto-updates and runs as a background task… i.e. MS's old Windows Installer Cleanup on steroids.

I think the update of Calibre removed C:\Program Files\Calibre2\ from the file path. I manually added it again and it's working now.

About the "calibre-debug not working in version 7", same here.

I lookup and confirm that the Calibre folder path has suddenly disappeared from the PATH variable (and so the simple `calibre-debug.exe` cmd don't work) although I have this option enabled.
I perform a "Repair the instalation" and is back (or else go use "Change the instalation" and check the option 'Add install directory to path')

No idea of 'how' is happened, so yeah maybe some Windows shit.

Windows 11 here and calibre-debug won't work. I get some sort of calibre interactive shell. Going to the calibre directory doesn't help. I have uninstalled calibre 7 and reinstalled. calibre-debug is still broken.
