I wanted to put an update to the discussion on Sparkling Juice drinks... I finally found some locally (At Target) and picked it up. I bought the Izze Fortified Sparkling Pomegranate and Sparkling Blackberry. I just gave the Pomegranate a try, wasn't bad. It has a heavier seltzer feel to it than I expected. It's one of those things I could see growing to love, or growing to hate. I'm just going to have to wait and see. I'll let you know what I think of the Blackberry later.

Thanks for the update! I have tried the IZZE Sparkling Pomegranate, if fact I still have some in the fridge, because I didn't really care for it. But I'm sure others might!

Did you try any of the other flavors? I tried the Blackberry this morning, the seltzer didn't bite as much (or maybe I just got used to it) but then the juice wasn't as flavorful either...

I tried the Clementine and liked it much better! Still haven't tried the Blackberry as yet!

I must include that it's been 2 months since I had a soda. Ten more months to go! While there have been many temptations (the worst being stuck in the checkout line right next to a cooler of soda), I do think about treating myself once in a while, haven't as yet, but thinking about it. Don't want to fall off the wagon, and all.

I keep trying to cut down on soda, my problem is I need a good tap filter... I could drink water, but our local tap is horrid... (They are replacing parts piping and pump systems this year)

I'll grab a 4-pack of the Clemetine and give it a try... I found that I like them to an extent. They are -ok-, not great. I prefer the Blackberry, but I do like getting Pomegranate in my diet. Buying Pomegranate juice is expensive, especially if I buy a jug and it has to be drunk within a week (Goes bad quick). And I'm the only one drinking it.

Don't they usually have juice or water in the cooler? Just grab one of those to deal with the urge. I have faith in you, you can make it...

3 months-- still no soda

I found a great carbonated juice called Switch. 100% juice, no added sugar, all natural, no preservatives and 100% Vitamin C and best of all.... so yummy!! I tried the Strawberry Kiwi and Fruit Punch flavors so far. Fruit Punch is my favorite so far!

I went back to my non-carbonated Pomegranate juice. Primarily because I had to make a special trip for the IZZE and I can get that juice with the rest of my groceries. I've been buying this, http://www.langers.com/Products/100s/langers100.htm

I wasn't exactly a New Year's resolution, but drinking more water and juice and less soda was one of my goals. I really need a good tap filter (before anyone tells me about tap water let me just say we've had some issues in the area with our treatment plants and such so I have valid reasons

) so I can drink more water. I've tried buying gallon and multi-gallon jugs of spring water but it is difficult.

As to you rebarnmom, congrats! That is great to hear... If I see Switch I'll give a try, thanks.

Ahem. My name is Terri and I haven't had a soda for six months!!

I do have to confess that I celebrated this major milestone with a Diet Coke at Subway. It tasted so good. But, I maintained restraint and did not get any free refills like I most certainly could have. My friend and I were there for almost two hours, visiting while we waited for our kids who were participating in the library's Summer Reading Program "Get Wild about Reading." (While I was enjoying my first Diet Coke in six months, they were having earthworm races, eating REAL deep-fried cheddar cheese flavored "larva" and having dirt dessert, among several other activities!)

Well... I've lost some weight. My husband always told me that he believes that drinking diet pop makes you want to eat more. I do feel better as I've been drinking so much water. I don't think I've had as many headaches.
