I was having a hard finding something to spend my $20 and $12.50 credits on since it has to be sold by Amazon. Then found out that Eero is now an Amazon company. Picked up an eero beacon wifi extender for $17.90 after credits, super bargain!

The only credits I was able to get were the $2 Affirm, the $10 Prime StampCard, and the $12.50 Amazon GC; none of which expire today.

Since I'm a frequent flyer, I've been shut out of most of the free media offers.

So far, my only Prime Day purchase has been a laptop from Best Buy. I nearly got it from Amazon, but then found it at Best Buy for $21 cheaper. Since Amazon won't price match, they lost a sale.

There's a strong chance that Amazon will release a 5th Gen Echo this fall, but it's not guaranteed. Sometimes Amazon discounts a new device during Black Friday and Prime Day, but not always. Note that the latest Fire Tab 7 (released just a few weeks ago) was not discounted during Prime Day.

It's a gamble, but if a new Echo 5 is released this fall and is not discounted during Black Friday, you can bet that the Echo 4 will be and it'll be just as low in price as it is now or even lower.

Those were the only credits I got as well. Only thing I've bought so far was a USB C dock/adapter for my Steam Deck. (My preorder became available last week, nice timing there.) That'll let me hook it up to my TV and/or hook it up to an external monitor, mouse & keyboard to use it as a gaming PC. I was planning to get that eventually and Amazon had it on sale for $7 off, so I grabbed it now.

Looks like I didn't really get that $2 Affirm credit, despite getting an email confirming it. The link in that led to a page with an error message. I'm not bothered enough to contact Amazon support to try to get $2. Besides, it took me hours to find some stuff to use the $12.50 gift card promo credit on. Everything I needed or wanted wasn't sold by Amazon.

Same here. I "claimed my reward" only to get an "internal error." Calling Amazon about this is like picking up a penny... more trouble than it is worth.

Same here. I brushed off the error warning thinking that Amazon was rejecting it because I already qualified for the $2 credit two weeks ago. I was surprised that they were letting me get it a second time, but then not surprised when they finally rejected it.

I did get a Kids fire for my youngest granddaughter at 40% off. I did you an amazon gift card from my son for my birthday, But I knew what I wanted, and it wasn't offered as a Prime Day item. It was a 12" carbon steel pan.

I have a theory.

Background: in the past year, most of my Amazon shopping has been done in the warehouse. With one exception, I’ve got items in perfect condition, sometimes repackaged or in damaged packaging. Obviously returns that I’ve been able to buy at significant discounts.

So, in the days after Prime Day(s), once those packages start hitting the front steps, will people regret what they bought in that rush of enthusiasm and start dropping the stuff off at Kohl’s? I’m not going to shop across the board, but I am going to keep an eye on my wishlist.
