I would like the original H2O format with an 8" plastic backed screen. The battery in the H2O has really held up a lot better then I thought it would. Plus I like the bezel with no buttons.

I'm not interested in a buttonless device. And I like the lopsided design more than the regular one, but can put up with the latter, if it has buttons. No buttons = no go.

Yes, it's gotta have buttons. I'm never consistent, sometimes tapping the screen, sometimes using the buttons.

If you didn't have buttons, you would get used to it and you would stop trying to push the non-existent buttons.

As for me, I don't see a need for the buttons as I can swipe the screen to change the page.

I had Sony Readers that only has buttons. But when I got my first Sony that had both buttons and a touch screen, I stopped using the buttons and i never looked back.

I've got both a h2o without buttons and a forma with buttons. I think I had the h2o since it came out and only recently got the forma. I use both the buttons and swipe to turn pages.

However, I've found when I go back to the h2o, I miss the buttons. Swipe doesn't work consistently for turning pages, and it's just nice to be able to hold it with my finger over the next page button and push it without moving much.

Well, I didn't get used to it when I had a touch-only Kindle for a while. Instead I stopped using it and went back to my old non-touch Kindles, before I bought the Voyage which had haptic buttons at least.

I hate touching the screen while I'm reading, because I can always see fingerprints, even when my hands are completely dry and clean.

When I used the Pocketbook Inkpad, I only used the screen for page flip as the buttons are in a awkward position. I'd miss the buttons on the Forma/Tolino Epos for sure, as they are in a perfect position for me, but it wouldn't be a show stopper for me.

I've used both. I like readers with buttons better. On the PocketBook HD3 I can turn touch off on the screen, which makes it easier to clean a smudge or clear off some fluff.

With clean hands, I've never seen fingerprints going as far back as the Sony Reader PRS-650. And now I still don't see fingerprints on my H2O.

Obviously you either have drier skin or poorer eyesight than I do.

I took a close look at my H2O and I cannot see any fingerprints. Even if my eyesight was poorer, looking as close as I did would show if there were any.

I cannot say I've never seen any fingerprints, but not often. Nowhere near like you get on an LCD screen and nowhere near as often.

When you used to screen to turn the page, did you see fingerprints?

After some time, sure. But I just clean every day with a microfiber cloth. I still do that as I constantly find cat hairs on my screen. I'm fairly sure that my cat secretly reads my Rivers of London books

Our dog once almost made a phone call on my wife's iPhone. We was playing with the screen and managed to bring up the phone bit and get something dialed.

Your cat might prefer The Cat Who books from Lilian Jackson Braun.
