Is there any chance to use the old viewer on Linux?
Because the new one and me, we aren't friends: I can't chance the color scheme, because I get an error every time I try, and I can't change a font that is set in an epub file, and I hate screen reading with serif fonts. I loved the old viewer, but the new one is pretty much useless to me. I'm not going to read long texts if they look horrible, and right now they do. |

Also the new one is worse for quickly checking a conversion.

Both can be set in viewer preferences. To bring up viewer preferences hit escape when the book is open or right click in the center of the text of the page you are reading. |

I've got a bit of a weird one. Old viewer worked great, new one is a little weird.
I use a big tv at 4k for a monitor, and the old viewer scaled the books out correctly, but the new one just shows tiny fonts. I've tried increasing the font size, and holding down ctrl and using the scroll wheel but it's still pretty tiny. Any ideas on how to bump this up a bit more? Pic attached. I don't read on the computer often, but I do read on it, and would like to be able to do so again. Any help's appreciated! |

You can bump the font size up as uch as you like by using the viewer control, click Font size and enter a custom size.

Cool! Bumped it from the max wheel scroll of 40 up to 80 and it's readable now!
Thanks! |

After 4.2 upgrade I've started to like the new viewer. Keep it as it is (still the menu could look a bit better).
Thanks! |

Still having a few issues with it, but I doubt most of the problems I have with it will be changed.
But there is a couple I would like to see. I would like the menu to be a lot better organized. I would like to bind the open menu to to mouse 3/4/5. It is nearly impossible to copy text with just the mouse. 1 thing I would like is the option for a toolbar to put my own shortcuts on. Seeing a bit of a bug. Images screw up the chapter progress. The progress goes to the picture then resets. (Hopefully, the viewer will be an app in the future with more options and not a locked down web browser.) |
