Hi folks,

So far the shop has had exactly two customers, and approximately half of the cost of this month's fees have been covered. This has been a fun project, and I don't regret doing it. But I wanted to give fair warning that I'll probably only cover the shop for a month or so if I don't break even. Breaking even, in this case, means selling six shirts or other large items, or 12 pins, or some combination thereof, per month. I'll be sure to give a week or so of notice before I close things down, if it comes to that.

I bought mine. And now I don't know what to wear to the Houston Meet-up next month - my official MobileRead thong (okay, shirt) or my ensemble from the Ministry of Unutterable Silliness. As almost host/organizer, I'd hate to not be obvious to those who show up looking for an MR person. But what if they don't visit The Lounge much (do such people actually exist?). On the other had I can barely imagine NOT wearing The Blue One, Next To The Fish. I mean, really!

ooh ooh !!! i vote for THE BLUE ONE NEXT TO THE FISH !!!! (as if anyone could doubt that). if it helps you decide, i have every intention of wearing my "join adorable madness" t-shirt to the next paris apéro, in octobre ; and besides, you can just print out the handy mobileread logo pdf i've attached for your convenience in my "how-to" sticky.

Still only 2 customers at the shop so far (and VR has just admitted to being one of them). I'm probably not going to put any additional designs up, unless someone lets me know that they would definitely buy a particular design that isn't in the shop now. I think I'll leave the shop open for about a month.

customer number 3, reporting in ! i wanted to be customer number 1, but that was obviously not taking into account my pathological indecision. it's taken me the better part of a week (more ?) to narrow down my selection. originally i wanted to buy EVERY SINGLE T-SHIRT available. sadly, my last name is not rockefeller. i decided to narrow it down to TWO but even that proved to be too difficult so i've just ordered three, and as soon as i have some more cash i'll be going back to get some more...

now i just have to wait for them to get here. international shipping : 11 - 15 business days !!!! arg !!!!

I am going to be a customer, once the travel mugs are in stock. Prolly get a llama for Neko notebook, too, since they come with grids.
