I have been using a Nuvo-Tek slip sleeve....they have them at Amazon...cheap. It doesn't have a clasp at the top, but does close and is padded. My Voyage is staying in mine until my "real" case arrives tomorrow.

I love my Voyage.
My leather Origami case just arrived today so now I have the perfect ereader...perfect for my reading needs. Although I liked my paperwhite2, I was never quite happy with touching the recessed screen to turn the page.Love,love the haptic buttons and flush screen on the Voyage! And about the screen....it is absolutely gorgeous to my eyes.

Oh yeah - the 700 was actually my first eInk reader. I didn't mind the screen and lighting so much (I hadn't seen any other eInk, so had nothing to compare it too), but I did mind the weight. It was heavy and I couldn't comfortably use it one-handed, as the center of gravity was too too high to hold it with one hand and hit the buttons.

The PRS- 600 screen wasn't much better, and still pretty heavy. The metal build of the early SONY models was quality, but the cost was weight, and that didn't work for my tiny hands.

I got the Kindle Voyage earlier this week and I'm extremely impressed with it. Screen is perfect, it's very light, and the PagePress buttons are GREAT. It took me a little while to get used to them. The resolution is much nicer than my PW2. Glad I decided to splurge on this.

I finally got a Kindle Voyage 3G without a cracked casing or two tone screen but it look until the 6th device. I can accept the cracked casing as a rarity but four Voyages out of six with realy bad screens shows that there are still a lot of dodgy screens around. I guess I'm just fussy but the one I've got now is good, not as white as my wifi Voyage, it's a tiny bit creamier, but very nice.

The upside is I saved £46 as I got 20% off with the Father's Day sale. If the first one (which had a gorgeous screen I might add) hadn't had the cracked casing I would have paid full price for it.

Don't you just love it when you buy something that you really want and it's on sale!!
I found my Voyage on ebay for a good price, marked "like new, barely used" and held my breath until it arrived. My lucky day, it was like new and has a great screen too...so its all just the luck of the draw, or so it would seem. Glad that you finally got yourself a good one!

I'm glad you got a good one too.

I must admit if it wasn't for the sale right now I might have given up but I was determined to get one at the current price

Quick question, Ive read that the voyage front light as improved since its first release? As in the evenness of the lighting. My eyes are sensitive to colour grandiant/tint. I bought one on its release and sent it back.

Its now on offer on Amazon and I'm tempted.

I don't think anyone knows for sure either way, but as the lighting gradient on the Voyage isn't anything like as big a problem as the blotchy screens on the original PW, I doubt Amazon would think there is an issue that they needed to fix? In short, probably still pot luck.

If you are worried about playing the return game with Amazon, it might be worth buying it from John Lewis if you are able, as I'd imagine (I've never had to return anything I've bought from them in saying that) they'd be good for exchanging if you aren't happy with it?

In a word, no. I bought my Voyage a couple of months ago and the gradient is still present.

I have the voyage and I love it I see no issues with color are light issues. I have had some that look at it and claim that see issues with it but I write them off because they are the ones that can find issues with a perfect diamond.

I've always taken the view that all that matters is what I think of a reading device that I buy. Doesn't matter what anyone else's opinion of it is.

I have just worked my way through six 3G voyages. Three from John Lewis, two from Argos and one from Amazon. The first JL one was perfect, but I had a cracked casing

that was bought before the price cut and I would have happily paid full price for it.

The next four (two JL, 2 Argos) had two tone screens, but the one from Amazon (for personal reasons I buy from Amazon as a last resort) was good. I figured Amazon have the newest stock so that was probably why JL and Argos had bad screens.

The Amazon one arrived yesterday and while it's a bit more of a cream than a white (my wifi voyage is whiter) the screen is quite even with just a slight variation at the top. For a £46 reduction I am very happy.

All you can do is try.

I love my Voyage and the limited edition premium leather origami case I bought to go with it. It feels very high end. It just makes me happy when I read.
