I use Pocketbook Reader which is free. I also use Moon+ Pro which isn't free. I gave up on Mantano a long time ago.

Finally have my Moto Es. I'm keeping both; one for the bedroom and one for the living room. I'm giving away my LG Volt and Nokia 520 to family members.
So far, I only have one phone set up. First thing I did was to remove the SIM card and add a 32GB mSD card. With the SIM card gone, there's no need to keep it in airplane mode. I then charged and downloaded my apps that were backed up in the cloud. After that, I set up the FM Radio. Now I'm in the process of setting up folders. I do like this phone quite a bit. Wish there was a camera flash and a better speaker. I plan to order an OtterBox type case for both phones. Who else removed their SIM card? |

Keep the Volt! It's battery life is awesome compared to the Moto E. The Moto E drains quickly and I haven't tried video on it yet like I do the Volt but it's on a third charge already just being in standby.

Yeah, the Volt has a huge 3000 mAh battery; but my son needs the battery more than I do. He travels with his MP3 players and I don't. Besides, two of the same model are easier to manage than two different models.

I think the airplane will bother me less than the constant "No SIM card" reminders, so I put mine back.

I have mine all set to be my music player. It sounds fine through the headphones. I'm going to try the Amazon app for a while. I have it set to play just the songs on the SD card. |

FM radio works great on the Moto. I'm a big time FM user and like listening to the morning drive shows on the rock stations. FM is the only thing I listen to in a car and never listen to audiobooks or my own music while driving.
I consider a stand alone FM turner to be a major plus in my devices. WiFi isn't always present. . Last edited by tubemonkey; 12-08-2015 at 12:53 PM. |

FM Radio is great for power outages to keep from hearing your neighbors.

Speaking of battery life -- I wonder how they pre-charge these to 40-50% and yet the charge goes down so quickly when WE have them. Specifically I'm wondering if I have to wait till the very last minute to wrap this? Do I have to keep it on a charger till the night before? I opened it up and set it up a bit for my niece.

Turning the device off once fully charge should do it. I'd charge it for 8 hours first.

Thanks -- I forgot that "off" is different from "screen is blank" (I.e. Standby).

This unit drops wifi and won't reconnect until powered off/on. Anyone else have this issue?
