It didn't say and I didn't test it for the 16GB. I didn't need it, so I grabbed the 8GB for $29.

I never got an email either. My offer was in an orange banner on the HD 6 page.

Well, kind of glad I didn't have the dough to try this. I was anticipating that I'd see everyone's goods and contemplate whether or not to start saving up for next year's.

In order for me to join something that comes at an annual cost, I'd have to be lured into making it my "main store" for everything. (ie. everything I legitimately need is there) Like my in-laws for Costco - they rarely even look anywhere else to shop, and genuinely by default want to shop there.

I like Amazon and am a little disappointed that the sale didn't tempt me into becoming a "prime" member. I'll continue to buy from them "regular style" the way I have, on an as-needed basis.

I'm at the time in my life where I basically have everything I need or want. So I'm harder to impress. I didn't expect to find anything for myself.

I was disappointed in today's sale. Many of the items were lightning deals before and some were higher today.

It kind of reminded me of a clean out before taxes sale, (alias let's get rid of the old stuff) to reduce the inventory.

Well I spent $287 at Amazon today. However, the only sale item I bought was $15, a whopping $5 savings from the usual $20 price. I just moved into new house, new to me that is, and needed a bunch of things, so Amazon got my business as usual. I waited until today to place these orders hoping I could save money, but the sales were not on items I needed for the house. BTW, the $15 sale purchase was an impulse buy. The one item I would like to have purchased was already sold out by 5:00 am! Amazon continues to find new ways to suck.

All the hype got people onto their site, so my guess is it will be a success. I ended up spending some money I would not have otherwise.
Yet I suspect the word "Prime Day" will go down in infamy.

I tried to order something that was a Prime Lightening Deal, but "No Rush" shipping, and it switched the price back to the higher one. Deleted it from my cart, added it back at the lower price, changed to No Rush shipping and it switched back to the higher price.

So while it really was a "no rush" thing that's been sitting in my wishlist for awhile, I still ended up going with the 2-day Shipping.

Shoot, I just went to place two orders that earlier would have offered $5 apiece for no-rush shipping, but now the offer is $3 for digital content. Not what I wanted, I had something specific in mind in one of the departments eligible for the $5 credits (an item that's currently out of stock). Now I'm annoyed. I hate it when there's an abrupt and unannounced change.

It turns out my best deal was getting a book of paper dolls for $4.15 and taking the $3 digital credit.

I got a bag of Greenies for the dog, and a Fire TV Stick, that's all. I got the $5 credit for slow shipping on each order. That's a credit for select items in pet supplies and a few other categories. Hopefully somethings I want to buy! And credit expires Aug 31.
