If you want to search only on one(1) column, then use the same column twice in the search criteria.

Yes the author-column exist in both libraries, and it's not just my custom column.

Calibre's author-column also returns an empty log-file.

I now get a new error: Can't open database.

It doesn't show any log-file just a text in the bottom of Calibre's window.

The log file may be behind your current window.

Is your other library on a network drive? Is another tool locking it?

I have zero problems. I have 40 libraries, and I can find no errors.

I have run it many times in many libraries with all of the combinations of:
1 standard and 1 custom column
2 standard columns
2 custom columns
and column 1 and 2 have been swapped.

No issues.

It's the same drive just another folder and I don't run anything that uses the databases (except Calibre).

I'll try another set of libraries.

I've tested with several other libraries and there are 2 libraries where it doesn't work.

In both those cases it says that it can't open the database.

I still can't get it to work properly with the original author-column.

As you may see in the screenshot, it still picks up an author which isn't in the archive I search from.

The Search Archive is the "Arhive of Our Own". It shouldn't pick up the 2 stories by Addie Logan as that author is nowhere near this archive.

If it cannot open the databases...

Do a Check Library and repair on the test libraries. Then, retest.

That's ok. Truth be told, I had expected a bit of trouble from the 2 libraries that it can't work with.

I'll test in the weekend if it runs in a repaired edition of the libraries.

I don't understand the other thing with the standard author-column.

Okay. Install the attached so I know you have what I am using. Delete all of the other copies that you have downloaded.
