Well I just finished The Darkness the Comes Before. That book was a flyer, I finished it in three sessions. Not exactly what I was looking for but I enjoyed it.

Anything new on this front. I'm really in the mood of a vast epic space opera.

Vast Epic Space Opera: Honor Harrington series by David Weber.

Or if you're not worried by space ships manoeuvring like sea-going ships, Jack Campbell's The Lost Fleet would probably suit.

In Conquest Born by C.S. Friedman is a single book (I believe there are a couple more unrelated titles that occur in the same universe), but it is certainly epic.

Reading Discworld has been a real pleasure. Funny as hell and occasionally containing honest to goodness wisdom. But I'm starting to worry I'm never going to find anything in the Sci-fi space that speak to me the way my big three do, Anathem, A Deepness in the Sky and The Forever War.

As far as Epic, personal taste can make a difference, but I've read both A Deepness in the Sky and The Forever War. Here's a rec I haven't seen before:

Roger MacBride Allen, "The Depths of Time", "The Ocean of Years", and "The Shores of Tomorrow". It's got a unique version of star travel, a story-line that spans lots of space and a fair bit of time, terraforming, and an interesting take on print vs electronic sources and data corruption.

Allen has also done some Star Wars books, and a couple other series.

The Boat of a Million Years sounds genuinely fascinating. I'm very surprised I've never heard of it.

It's not available as an eBook in the US. It is available in the UK. So if you are not in the UK, you'll need to country hop via Kobo to get it.

_The Boat of a Million Years_ is a great read.

If C.J. Cherryh's _Downbelow Station_ hasn't been suggested, it's a great space opera epic as well.
