So... I have gone through using the code 4X then having my account locked, then unlocked. I've racked up 4 more after the unlock - How long did you wait to run another set of purchases through? I'm dyin' here... so much on the wishlist...

if you want to play it safe 3 hours. Some here don't and just buy one after another.

After getting my account working I played it safe at first, but that got tiring pretty quickly and I haven't had any problems since going at it without waiting (just under 100 books so far).

I thought I was relatively safe because I prefer the contemporary romances. And then I put Leigh Michael's name in the search bar... (fortunately she doesn't have a *lot*)...

That makes more sense. I was wondering if they were somehow related or not.

I think I've narrowed it down to just 3 of the Harlequin Vintages with the best reviews over at GoodReads (the ones which say silly, trashy, and over-the-top but So Bad It's Good fun, rather than the ones that say So Bad it's a waste of perfectly good paper pulp).

I think I'll also pick up one of the Jeannie Lin novels recommended above. I'm not into romance, but I generally like well-written historical stuff in interesting period settings and equal opportunity swordfighting is a definite bonus.

Fortunately, the one that's got that is the lower-priced one which will be really cheap with coupon and the sample read promisingly.

Um, I'll try the three hour thing until my wishlist is empty, then I might get adventurous.

On a side note, I called the 888 number to get my account unlocked. The agent looked up my email address from a list they created from all the support emails they received on this issue - so if you haven't been unlocked, it might pay to call to confirm you are on the list

I decided since the rest are not must haves I give it a go. I bought 10 in row without an issue but I am still gonna pace myself. If my Card breaks it's prepaid so no way to fix it.

I just bought 10 in a row. When I spoke with Harlequin today, they told me that there was no limit. So click away. They want you to buy their books. They are a publishing company.

Crap. I lost count and tried to buy a 5th book in this session. Locked out. Sent an email and will call if it's not fixed in two days. I can imagine they have their hands full, and it won't kill me to not buy any the next two days.

Was this after it was fixed? I've lost track who has gotten their account fixed and who is just starting.

Okay went back and reread could it be your Card that is locked? If you can access your book list it's the card if not the account is broke.

No, I can't access my book list; I don't think it's the credit card.

Not good yours is the first one to break again I think. How many did you purchase before it broke again. Was it just two?
