It's a silly fact - Sony can't access the Kindle store because the Kindle store doesn't allow it.

Sony can access the Sony store, Google Books, the public library and any unencrypted epub or pdf. IMHO, that far outstrips being able to directly access the Kindle store.

Blaming Sony for being unable to do something it's not permitted to do is silly, at best.

Well, color yourself surprised. It is a done deal as officially announced earlier this year. Rumor has it that the Kindle-formatted books will be available by the end of this month and there is already evidence to confirm this with UI changes in Overdrive libraries.

I'm not "baiting" anything, I'm stating a fact. If he is prone to over-reaction because of it then that is his issue. I'm not going to walk on eggshells cause someone can't deal with it.

And it was a perfectly legitimate response.

Each of the current manufacturers are trying to gain an advantage and each has their own ebook store.

If someone wants to purchase Kindle books then the T1 will not do that. That's all my response was meant to say and all it did say.

While it may be a fact, it is an obvious one that need not be discussed for the umpteeth million time. Yeah, everyone knows that only Kindle users can buy ebooks from Amazon. Yeah, we know. That's like going to a blind guy and say "You know, you can't see?" Also, it has already been established of JSWolf's behavior when people make comments in the vein of yours. Given your post count, and participation in threads that this has been discussed, it isn't something that you can deny knowledge of. Due to the obvious overdiscussed nature, being directed at a person who is widely known to get wound up by such comments, how can such a thing not be at least some what inflammatory? Even with the JS thing aside, it is somewhat pointless to mention such a thing.

Given all of the stated things, can we please just avoid things that can cause civil unrest?
