Thanks. I started to panic last night because my word count didn't change after a long scene, but I figured out I had a chapter at the wrong level in Scrivener so it wasn't counting it.

I actually made it to 7268 last night before I was so sleepy I had to go to bed. I've got several hours this morning to type, then, hopefully, all afternoon (while hubby watches/sleep to football on the tv)

He enjoys football, and can sit in a stadium ALL DAY and watch high school play-offs (he's done it), and can even watch a lot on tv. But there's something about not having anything invested in the game and being in a comfy chair that can put him right to sleep. It might be the fact that he usually only gets to watch football on television when he's through with his football season and can now rest well for the first time since mid July. (he coaches high school football here in Texas)

But I learned long ago, he might be asleep but that doesn't mean he doesn't know what's on. If I try to change the channel he wakes right up. Works with golf, too.

I'm not. I just signed in today. Starting 8 days late, but I thought I'd done really well this morning. Until I did a word count and found it was just under 400 words.

It looked like so much more. How did I get it to fill out a page???

Well, 400-500 words is about a page...

So there are 22 days left and you only have 49600 words to go! That is only 2255 words a day! You can do it!

I missed yesterday due to things not entirely in my control, but I'm still around 18k. Only trouble is, I'm burning thru plot way too quickly; time to slow things down.

Next novel I write, nobody goes sneaking off alone. /sweatdrop

Well, I've been down with a flu for most of this month, so I already gave up even my personal goal of 20,000 words. I am afraid I am falling way behind in my job, so I need to catch up. I am very stressed.

My first Nano went great

I'll try again in January. Maybe I can call it AnNoWriMo (Andanzas Novel Writing Month) - or, if anyone cares to join me, we could call it MoNoWriMo. Oh my, I should get more sleep.

It's a conspiracy! My daughter called Tuesday and she missed her Tuesday classes because she couldn't walk. A problem she has had with her leg flared up. I had to drive 3 hours to get her from college, then go home, then spend the next day driving her 3 hours the OTHER direction and visiting the doctor and trying to get meds. It got so late I couldn't drive her back to college last night, so we started out this morning (early) and I just got home a little bit ago. I had to wait around for the last prescription because insurance denied the one it replaced, and it all had to go through the doctor's office.

I'm too tired to write, or even type. I did do a small amount of hand writing, but not much. And to top it off, our internet went out starting Tuesday morning and we just got it back up.

I'm only sitting at 11800 words. I'm going to keep plugging away, though. I might get quite a bit typed this weekend (I hope).

Its ok, bad days happen. I had one on Tuesday, although I had enough of a lead that it didn't matter too much. Another 2700~3k write-in or two and I'll be back on track to being done around the 20th.

Wow everyone's doing pretty well, for those of you who aren't take heart. If it helps, I'm not either! Mwa ha ha haargh. Never mind. My goal is finishing the book which could be 10, 20 or 40,000 words... sigh. It's getting close though - to the end I mean, not necessarily finishing nano
