I think the quote of "I can't define obsenity but I know it when I see it" applies to porn to a degree. One man's (or woman's) art is another's porn & sometimes vice versa.

Once again, this is dealing with supposed CHILD porn which does violate community standards as well as the law. But since it computer generated images was of a 17 year old, & we all know that a lot of 17 year old kids are having sex.

It is also a complicated mine field to a certain extent as to what is adult age in terms of age of consent. In some places 16 is old enough while in others 18 is an adult. Not to mention that in some parts of the world the age of consent is supposed to be even lower (with qualifiers as to situation or something). Around here (the U.S.) it's 18 so anyone under that age in erotic content would be kiddie porn, but that might not be the case in other areas. And there is a big difference I think between an actual photo of a child and a drawn character that is supposed to be the age of a child.

LOL You just HAD to notice that when I made that particular post. Actually it was a few weeks ago, I think. WW thought I was a guy, and in another thread someone was talking about romance novels being for frustrated females, so it seemed a timely change. It seemed a better option than changing my beloved van Gogh avatar. I won't go into whether or not I'm actually a frustrated female, and don't go drawing any correlations between that and my knowledge of the industry we are discussing here, please.

Hmmm... Smithfield sounds like an interesting place for the setting of such a tale. Haven't written anything in a long while. Of all the topics to inspire me... LOL I'll take inspiration wherever I can get it, I guess!
