I don't know. The standard I personally retain for food is to like whatever I like, and to not assume that the applicability of that standard extends beyond the perimeters of my own taste. "Food snobbery" can be a pleasant and educating pastime among those with an equal interest in a particular food product, but an aficionado of processed cheese products is no lesser or better a person than an aficionado of vintage Champagnes. To think myself better than others because of the subjective "standard" of food I eat would be (and has been, and probably will be), for me, a shallow substitute for actual self-betterment.

As one of Australia's most significant figures in our wine industry (Len Evans) once said/paraphrased, "it's just a bloody drink, so let's drink it".

Eye likes what eye likes. I live on microwaved frozen veges and fish. washed down with a red wine that costs $2.80 a bottle. But I just don't understand (nor enjoy) plastic cheese?

No, I don't much enjoy "individually wrapped" cheese slices either. Mind you, I'm a sucker for a big chunky slice, by itself, off a Black & Gold/Homebrand/generic kilogram block of supermarket "tasty cheese". That's a childhood thing though.

I am usually too lazy and buy them at the supermarket. They bake them here. Not as good as home made.

I will try to find mums recipe. Maybe the loved one will share if we are lucky.

You need to decide if you like chewy(my favourite) or crunchy.
