Can the ePub be updated to warn us when an ePub does not fit with Mobile ADE so we can edit it to make sure it works?

Atlantis Word Processor generates proper ePub files according to the ePub specification. You can validate .epub files of Atlantis with the online ePub validator:
http://www.threepress.org/document/epub-validate/ But you cannot be sure that your .epub file displays correctly (as intended by you) in a given eBook reader without testing it with this eBook reader. The ePub specification says how to generate .epub files. It says which elements are allowed in XHTMLs and which files can be included in an ePub package. But no ePub reader supports the ePub standard completely. There is no such thing as "ePub for Mobile ADE". There is a single ePub standard. But any ePub book should be tested with the target ePub readers. Atlantis Word Processor could not know if a particular ePub book will display correctly on specific ePub readers. Again, the only way to find out if corrections to the formatting of the source document are needed is by testing your ePub files with your ePub reader software/device. |

It is not hard to check the size of XHTMLs indeed. Future releases of Atlantis Word Processor will probably display a warning when a chapter of the source document is "too long". But I believe that this 300K-limit is the least probable problem with ePubs. Atlantis Word Processor saves each chapter as a separate XHTML file. I can hardly imagine a book chapter containing 250,000+ characters.

I am not sure that understand what you mean. Your book is initially in any of the document formats supported by Atlantis Word Processor. Any formatting that you include in your source document (including font faces and sizes) is saved as CSS styles to an ePub file.

By the way, an interesting review of the EPUB feature of Atlantis Word Processor and other ePub creation tools:

Nice review of AWP. Makesme want to try it even more.
One other question about AWP comes to mind. Can I make a multilevel ToC from within AWP or do I have to edit the NCX file to do so? |

Multilevel TOCs (NCXs) are not automatically generated by Atlantis Word Processor. Not in the present version at least.

ADE is not just some form of PDF. It is not a format at all. It is an application (short for Adobe Digital Edition). It happens to read PDF files and ePUB files with or without Adobe DRM. Dale |

Any next release (update) of Atlantis Word Processor will generate multilevel TOCs (both inline and NCX) in ePubs. You could have up to 9 levels in your TOCs. All you will be supposed to do is to format the proper headings in your source document with the "Heading 1", "Heading 2", "Heading 3", ... styles.
