Do you have a Microsoft account you use with the store? I was using a local account when I got that message. But after dismissing it, it downloaded and began the install anyway.

I just downloaded it from the link generator instead of using Microsoft Store directly...
Either way, it seems slightly worse than before... UI is largely the same, still no "download all" button that I can see, DeDRM still mostly works, but now, in addition to textbooks and Indian books that it refused to download, it refuses to download some of the older books for no known reason... It still downloads some books as older formats, though... Also, TIL that "TPM keys" for Microsoft mean "files on the disk that happen to be encrypted with single hardware-backed master key", which is... good? For me.

What is the "link generator"? I can't download the app from the MS store right now and I'm not keen on tweaking my settings to do so.

I haven't been able to download latest kindle for pc. Keep saying not available for your region . Only positive thing I have heard is it is faster. The drag files and add to kindle looks good. But other than that all the reviews on the store page have criticisesd it. From crashes to forced use of passkey.

You Also block updates too? I only install anniversary updates when necessary to keep up. I wouldn't mind a direct link too. If it's in the rules. Though I'm not sure if I should wait.

I used this site. Feed it the link from jhowell, and it spits out the direct link to app package and its dependencies. For me, installing just msixbundle was enough. It never asked for passkey for signin.
