1.5.6 for Android, Apple MacOS & iOS New features!
I know it's been a little quiet. I've been working on polishing things and getting it available on Mac OSX.
Please try it and tell what I can fix or improve! I'm going to make a separate thread asking for ideas for new features. You can find me here or email me at support@sahollen.com Thank you! Seth - New LibriLink branding and app icons across all platforms - Downloads is now a full library — search and browse your saved books by title, author, series, tags, and language - Tap any author, series, tag, or language in a downloaded book's details to filter your saved books - Added iCloud Drive and local on-device libraries (alongside Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, WebDAV, and Calibre Server) - Nextcloud and ownCloud now called out as WebDAV examples during setup - Custom columns now display, sort, filter, and search throughout the app, including over Calibre Content Server - Full-text search added for Calibre Content Server and local libraries - Redesigned Appearance settings with a color-swatch wall and font-preview cards - New higher-contrast color options for better readability - New Liquid Glass–inspired theme on Apple devices - New Material theme for Android - A "What's New" popup now explains each update the first time you open it - Fixed crashes and open failures for older libraries using custom columns - Library metadata now downloads to a temp file so an interrupted sync can't corrupt your library - Fixed stale cover cache and corrected book file paths - Special characters in download paths and search queries now handled correctly - Faster, smoother app startup; downloaded-book state recovers from local files - More reliable sign-in on macOS with clearer iCloud folder guidance - Purchase and trial screens now refresh correctly after buying or restoring access - Accessibility: tooltips, cover labels, larger touch targets, longer error messages, WCAG AA contrast, and better screen-reader support - More reliable Project Gutenberg refresh after search, filter, and retry, plus polished filters - Clearer download instructions — open books in any compatible ebook app |

FWIW Gemini tells me to do this but it's not working on my pixel 7 running android 17
1.Open Settings:Open the main Settings app on your Pixel device. 2.Navigate to Apps:Tap on Apps, then tap See all apps to view your complete list of installed applications. 3.Select the Current App:Locate and tap the app that is currently opening your EPUB files (for example, Google Play Books, Kindle, or another dedicated reader). 4.Clear Defaults:This removes the existing file association without deleting any app data..Scroll down and tap Open by default. Then, tap the Clear default preferences (or Clear defaults) button. Key insight: After clearing the defaults, simply go back to your file manager and tap on your EPUB file. The system will recognize that no default app is assigned and the "Open with" menu will reappear. Select your new preferred reading app and tap Always to lock it in. |

Hi! I don't know if there's something wrong with my metadata db, but since the latest updates (android) I get this error (my metadata db is on one-drive, if that matters)
(I also added several books since I installed it, so maybe it's not an update issue, but a library issue) |

I selected librera while in a file manager, indicated it should always open epubs and yes...in the file manager it seemed to work. Then switched to LibriLink and it continued to select Slides, with librera in the list but no means to select it as default. Trying a different reading app made no difference. It's worth noting that if I use Calibre Sync with no default app set in Android it displays a much shorter list of apps, and correctly handles the default app setting. Makes me think there are multiple Android APIs to launch a file and Calibre Sync and LibriLink have made different choices. |
