As Jim said, this is actually a Calibre question, but in the short term, "yes it can be done"

Go to Convert Books, bottom of the list is Create a Catalog. You can set it to be a CSV file and then select the columns you want.

I got a NoneType error on restricted story again.

I noticed changelog. Could a change broke it?

If so, the timing (based on a search this thread for "nonetype") suggests the June 5 update.

I didn't get the error after putting this back in my personal.ini configuration:

always_login:true

If I comment it and try and run any update, it gives me the "nonetype" error on any restricted story, instead.

I don't use that, just regular login. I'll try swapping it in.

Might indicate FFF doesn't recognize login page? The cache worked, so the story page is the same.

Is there a way to prevent the log page of Fics from having a massive empty space on each entry?
There is a WHUGE line of <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> between words and comments, and I would only need a single space.

By default, I don't think FFF uses <br> tags in logpage at all.

I'd have to see an example and your logpage config to know any more.

AO3 Workskin Question

Hi there! I've searched the archives and can't seem to find the answer for this. Is there a way to make AO3 workskins work correctly in dark mode? I've really sensitive eyes so I always set my Kobo to dark mode but somehow workskins (like for instance images of text message chains) always get washed out and I have to revert to light mode to be able to read it. Is there a way around this apart from disabling workskins? Thanks for your amazing work!

Not as such.

FanFicFare has features to include AO3 workskins (use_workskin) and to set/add CSS to the epub output (add_to_output_css).

It does not have any features to intelligently look at the CSS being generated and change things.

If it's the workskin CSS specifically, you can turn it off--it's off by default, so you must have use_workskin:true somewhere.

You can also identify what elements in the CSS you don't like and override them per story or per site using add_to_output_css (add_to_ so you don't discard the defaults). Settings from output_css come after workskin CSS in the generated epub.

From what I can guess from my config. The FFF attempts to retrieve information for the log page, and if it fails, it keeps the formatting.

I was hoping that in case of a setting not appearing, it would also not show the </br> tag. Or is there a better formatting for what I am trying to do?

Here is my setting:
Spoiler:
## items to include in the log page Empty metadata entries, or those
## that haven't changed since the last update, will *not* appear, even
## if in the list. You can include extra text or HTML that will be
## included as-is in each log entry. Eg: logpage_entries: ...,<br />,
## summary,<br />,...
logpage_entries: dateCreated,<br />,datePublished,<br />,dateUpdated,<br />,numChapters,numWords,status,<br />,series,<br />,title,<br />,author,<br />,description,<br />,category,<br />,genre,<br />,rating,<br />,warnings,<br />,fandoms,<br />,freeformtags,<br />,
ao3categories,<br />,comments,<br />,chapterstotal,<br />,kudos,
hits,<br />,bookmarks,<br />,collections,<br />,byline,<br />,bookmarked,<br />,bookmarktags,
bookmarksummary,<br />,bookmarkprivate,<br />,bookmarkrec,<br />,restricted,<br />,series00,
series01,<br />,series02,<br />,series03

Yeah, that's not how it works. It's giving you all of the <br> tags you put in regardless.

You should instead look at changing the logpage_entry setting. See CustomOutput wiki page.

I have a custom column for fic urls; is there a way for me to select multiple fics and have Calibre open the selected urls in bulk in my browser? Currently I've been selecting a fic, click on url, then go to next fic and repeat.

Story URL is already recorded in Calibre's Ids(identifiers:url) column.

And FFF has a feature 'Get Story URLs from Selected Books' that will give you a text list of story URLs from the Ids field you can copy.

I don't know off hand how you'd then open them all in browser, but I expect there are ways.
