Viewer and Linux help please

Hi, whats the latest version of Calibre that the viewer works with Linux Mint 20.3

I was on the latest Linux Mint and viewer never worked left if for months hoping the problem would be sorted, so now reinstalled 20.3 and installed Calibre 6.22 but it still did work so now running 5.44.0 . Is any version of 6 compatible. Thx

The viewer is compatible with Linux Mint. What does not work mean exactly? And generally speaking with viewer issues its almost always GPU driver problems. You can try turning off GPU acceleration as described here: https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/qtwebengine-debugging.html

Thanks for the reply.

When i was running LM 21.1 it would just freeze but now with going back to 20.3 when running 6.22.0 viewer would open but not display the book but a copy of what my desktop. looked like.
Calibre 5.44.0 seems to be working 100%.

Just really tired of fighting to get things working.

Did you download calibre from the calibre website or did you get is from the repository (lousy)?

Please post the details of your hardware.

I know from using my backup computer--middle of May to late June--that Linux Mint 21.1 Mate with an i3-2130 and 4GB of ram, ran calibre with no problems.

Thanks guys, but sorted problem out. At some point between calibre 5.44.0 and 6.22.0 the requirements or something for the viewer changed and it didn't like my old NVIDIA GeForce 210 display card.
