You might need to do it a few times, I've found that putting the device to sleep and waking it helps. The hitbox for the gesture is the white text area at the bottom.

there is no exit button. Only random pictures and a note stating that this demo device misses content or isnt connected to wifi

Could you please tell me how you did it? Im going in 10 mins already with no luck. Do I need to hold my finger after double-tapping it and then swipe?
And where exacly is the hitbox area? Is it on the line with "CONFIGURE DEVICE" or the text about missing content above?

do i use 2 fingers and then swipe left or one finger and then swipe left?

where do i swipe left? does every gesture happend in the white area?

at the lowest cornere of the right Bottom?

You need to single tap with 2 fingers on the right side of the white box containing all of the text, release both fingers and use a single finger to swipe from right to left.

Soo Im stuck on step 4 lol. PW5 on 5.14.2

I factory reset, choose language, skip wifi and get to the homescreen where I enter ;enter_demo in search bar. I then reboot and just arrive at the homescreen. No prompt for wifi, store registration etc as stated in the tutorial. The device IS in demo mode as I can enter the demo menu with ;demo

What gives? Thanks.

Have someone done "secret gestures" on a kindle voyage 5.13.6 ? I've been trying for 20 min but with no luck.

First of all, many thanks for the great work!

When opening the Get Started option, my device does just that. Opening the instructions. It does not reboot.

But now im stuck beetween point 4-5

"Create an empty folder at /mnt/us/.demo/goodreads
Press "Done" at the prompt to install the jailbreak script"

"goodreads"? do i create the folder? and do i have to create a new folder, wich is empty inside of goodreads? shoud the name be new folder? (i am german, so windows will name it different ofc)

The secret gesture was kinda finicky on my PW3. Especially because I misunderstood "double finger tap" as "two taps with a single finger". However I'm stuck on the Jailbreak part. I copied the files to the directory:



Step 3 says "demo-${YOUR_DEVICE}-${YOUR_FW_VERSION}.zip", do I need to add the "demo-"-prefix to the zip file? Also, do I just disconnect the USB cable afterwards to get back to the demo menu? Doing so, and continuing to the "Get Started"-menu just shows the "Getting started" document.

Unfortunately I am now stuck at installing JB. Folder tree looks as follows:


Then when I proceed with the instructions:
- eject my kindle from PC
- pressing 'done' at the bottom of the screen
- going to settings -> help -> get started

And nothing happens. It just displays "Get Started" site.
I checked two times and im on 5.14.1.1 and Im using PW5-5.14.1.1 folder.
