Thumbnail screen does not react well

My likebook P78 reacts very slowly and badly on the page thumbnail. Does it happen to anyone else? how could it be solved?

Tested with a 2,6 MB .pdf, took ~2 seconds from the tap to change the 4 page thumbnails.
48 MB .epub gave slightly better response even with a high definition picture in one of the pages. The 9 page preview is even more snappy.
The only thing I noticed that the arrow's hitbox seems to be extremely small. If I move my finger even 2mm from its center, the touch input does not register. I'd expect to be able to touch the whole 13mm wide area between the previews and the bezel to turn the page.

Thanks. I have to insist several times, even to close the thumbnail screen by tapping the X
