Hi, I have a Kindle Basic 3 / KT4, G0910L.
I'm at FW 5.11.0.

My browser crashes after I load open the HTML file in the browser, but nothing happens after. No log, and the files are still there. Tried the JB hotfix and it didn't work, so it's definitely not jailbroken.

5.11.0 isn't listed, does this method not work on it? What should I be doing instead?

I upgraded to 5.11.1 and tried again, and it worked without any issues.

Hi! Can't get this bit to work.

I'm using a 10th generation Kindle Paperwhite, G000 T207, firmware 5.12.5.

When I went to kindlebreak.html, nothing happened - the page is blank, but nothing freezes or crashes. (I have Airplane Mode on.) I've tried refreshing and checked for typos.

I don't seem to have a file called kindlebreak_log.txt in my root directory, but the rest of the files are where they should be.

Please bear in mind that I'm REALLY not a tech expert, so talk to me like I'm five years old or so!

Your firmware is too old. It needs to be between 5.10.3 and 5.13.3. Fortunately this is easy to remedy. Just google Kindle Oasis 2 firmware 5.10.3 and download and install it manually. Do NOT connect to wifi as this will update your Oasis to the latest firmware and you'll be out of luck

The jailbreak will not delete anything. Everything on your device will stay as it is.

I put my device on airplane mode and removed my wifi key to avoid any future updates until a new jailbreak. Is it worth to wait on the new jailbreak and not update my device in the future? I really would like the personl screensaver function and the koreader.
