I'm getting Moderna for the second dose - NACI said that mixing doses was okay and there's a shortage of Pfizer here anyways.

I did not have quite the same problem as my hair was never that long but was just as thick, was coarse and grew very quickly. This led to my being given the nickname of "coconut bonce" by my family (bonce is English slang for the head).

My son, age 24, has very curly hair. Not that normal in Denmark :-). And now he is trying to get long hair, but its not hanging down. His head just grows bigger and bigger. So now its this very, very pale white guy, with an extremely high brown mop of hair.
But I keep saying to him, that this is the chance to get long hair. He won't get it at my age (54)

Whereas I got Moderna for the first dose and Pfizer for the second. A bit of soreness and redness around the injection site both times but nothing that causes me undue anxiety.

at you folks are getting the shots and not among the bunch of idiots who refuse to get them. now if it was for health reasons and your doctor tells you not to that i can understand or if the dosage in it, isn't something that would agree with you health wise i get that too but other than that...

As far as I recall different ingredients in Moderna and Pfizer, so allergies maybe a reason to stick to one specifically. Or under-12s, as here in Canada I think only Pfizer is approved for them.

Actually nothing is approved for under 12's. Pfizer is approved for 12 to 17.

Okay, so--and understand that I am vaccinated, being "that age," but:

As you've been vaccinated, why do you care if someone else is? The vaccine works, or it doesn't, yes? If it doesn't, why get it? If it does, why do we care if John Doe does or doesn't get it himself?

Alternatively and conversely, if you don't trust the vaccine, why insist that someone else get it?

We care down here, 'cos until enough Joes & Janes get two doses we're forever condemned to be stuck on this South Pacific outpost of North Korea.

The debate has been: should we wait for 70% or 80% of adults to get fully dosed, but now its morphine [sic] into 70% or 80% of adults and adolescents, when we get to Omega it'll be unborn too.

Got my second dose of AZ a tad over three hours ago.

1. Vaccines aren't 100% effective. Having a large number of unvaccinated people means the virus still circulates and could infect me, even though I'm vaccinated
2. More importantly, having a large number of infected people alongside a large number of vaccinated people is the ideal way to get a new variant of the virus that the current vaccines won't protect against.
