I've had that happen a couple of times. The packages have always made it in decent time. I figure it got on a vehicle without being scanned or something.

I get it and it doesn’t matter, but you (I) do get tired of all these meaningless commitments. “Out for delivery” should mean it. And Alexa is still claiming that it’s coming today.

Can’t lay this on the USPS, either, as it was processed through Amazon facilities.
I would call Amazon about this. They might do something for you for this incontinence.

I experienced the same thing recently with three different orders. The largest, a 12in. subwoofer in a 24x22x20" box, never did show up. Five days after two reschedules and a new delivery date the tracking changed to "It may be lost..... you can request a refund." That was a first for me.

All delivery services, including FedEx and UPS, are maxed out. Drivers tell me daily deliveries far exceed what they used to see just prior to Christmas.

I JUST got this by e-mail:

Your package is still on the way, but it's running late. Now expected September 13 - September 15.
We’re sorry it won’t arrive today, and we'll let you know when your package is out for delivery.

SUCH Crappy Service! I have yet to get 1 lousy update!

Looks like we are in the same boat....sigh

I had a package that they emailed and said was going to be late, but it arrived today. Another was supposed to be here between the 14th and 17th, it also arrived today, via USPS.

Two orders placed on the 10th came the next day, 4 items ordered yesterday arrived today. All but 1 package came via Amazon delivery service.

A package ordered from another company was supposed to be here by the 7th, it's vanished. They are sending a new order, via USPS.

I've gotten so I actually prefer to see Amazon as the shipper. They've got a big warehouse about 3 hours north of me, and another hub about 1.5 hours south of that, so I see a good bit of free (with Prime) one-day deliveries. I've even ordered Sunday afternoon and had them delivered Monday. End-to-end Amazon delivery is now much quicker and reliable than when UPS or the USPS is in the mix. It is in my neck o' the woods, at least (and I'm fairly rural). I'm actually disappointed now when I see there's going to be a handoff to UPS or the USPS. It almost always means a delay.

Don't feel bad, I just received (yet another) notice that my "today by 9pm" (14th) is now delayed to the 15th or 16th. And this is one item of four in the same order that are all part of a set, all units required. These backpedaling delays by Amazon, especially their own products, are d@#!%d annoying. And with a fulfillment facility in the area.

Call Amazon and complain. Last time I did that, Amazon gave me a gift card for the inconvenience.

Yeah. Plus, for every package that's late, for me at least half a dozen arrive really early. Fairly often I've broken stuff one evening, ordered a replacement on Amazon and had it arrive before I woke up the next morning. (And I don't live in a big city nor particularly close to an Amazon warehouse.)

Recived 20 mins ago. But it sat at Baltimore MD for 24 hours! Then it sat in Williamsport MD over night ... No clue that there was a Amazon Wearhouse there! Again 20 mins away!

Thankfully the item will work ... its a insulated bag that Huge & fits my Scooter Basket to a T so wont have to return & try again

So far no Amazon direct deliveries in Reno, NV. Probably too small a market though they do have a distribution center in Fernley, NV which is about 20 miles or so away. Currently all deliveries seem to be USPS or UPS.
