But in order to do that it has to know which version is available on MobileRead and it is not determining that correctly at the moment. |

I believe that the code that parses it expects a colon after the word History. (I was mistaken about that. It needs something specific in the HTML of the post and is not finding it.) Last edited by jhowell; 06-16-2020 at 06:12 PM. |

Both the KePub Output plugin and the KoboTouchExtended are showing as 3.2.7 as the available versions.

version history is not parsed at all. The current version is taken from __init__.py in the plugin zip file in the first post.

Interesting. The KTE __init__.py has no version information, the JobSpy __init__.py has a line reading "version = (1, 0, 183)" and FFF has "version = __version__" and "__version__ = (3, 20, 1)".

Interesting, I did not expect Python would do anything other than have KOBOTOUCHEXTENDED.version be a tuple!
More interestingly, other than that I haven't changed how I'm setting the plugin version. It's been a class attribute of KOBOTOUCHEXTENDED since the first release. But it sounds like that shouldn't have worked in the first place? Last edited by jgoguen; 06-17-2020 at 12:56 AM. |

This doesnt have anything to do with python. Its unsafe to execute arbitrary python, so the plugin mirroring service instead has an adhoc parser that I wrote based on the python stdlib ast module to extract plugin metadata from __init__.py, without needing to execute anything. Over the years as plugin developers have gotten more creative in how they choose to define versions the parser has had to support more and more python syntax. In this case, it was tripping up on import common and version = common.WHATEVER if you had instead done from common import WHATEVER version = WHATEVER it would have worked, already, but no big deal, since the fix was fairly simple.

After the fix, I now have 4 plugin updates that I didn't have yesterday.

I just updated to v. 3.2.9, Calibre V. 4.18 (64 bit), Windows 10. At transferring a book to the device, I receive:
Code:
