And the two core thing? That's the same as duo-core, right? And I thought that was really ancient stuff processor-wise. Am I wrong? (I was really leaning toward the HP, but the two core kind of throws me.) What does this mean (below)? Quote:

Considering a new one. Is it any better, worse? 8GB i3 processor (8th generation and I guess 9th is out already), SATA hard drive. https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron...pc&sr=1-1&th=1 |

Avoid one that has a SATA HDD, and prefer one that has an SSD. Really, that's the single "upgrade" you can make to any system to improve performance.

This mini $320 HP desktop from Woot might also be worth a look:

https://computers.woot.com/offers/hp...9290_455702500 It's an older 4-core i5 with a 256GB SSD, and only $40 more for a 480GB SSD. No HDMI or DVI but I think you said you just use VGA? |

I've been watching the Kobo Clara on Walmart's website and the price dropped this morning to $99.96. No change on the Aura.

Edit: This latest email says thank you for activating your Kindle E-reader. I just activated a Fire tablet. I wonder if I should wipe it and try again, because that's what I did today. Last edited by Purple Lady; 11-27-2019 at 02:45 PM. |

This deal is good only until midnight tonight, Eastern Standard Time (US), so only about 5 hours from the time I post this. This player does have a microSD slot for expansion beyond the built-in 8GB. |

5 device, 15 month - it goes into your Amazon software library until you're ready to install. I've been buying new keys for Norton Security this way for years, usually for $20 for 5 devices. The catch this time is that it's auto-renew, so put a reminder in your calendar to cancel before it expires... |

My apologies if this has already been posted, no time to back read a zillion posts!

![]() I was on Amazon.com today looking for Kindle Oasis 3 deals and the best one was $174.99 for the 8GB model. That is $75 off list. But be careful. As usual, Amazon actually lists multiple deals and some or much higher, some won't be delivered for a week or more, etc. So be sure to browse through all the current deals for an item to make sure you get the best one. Also, be careful on the Oasis as they have a similar price on the Oasis 2 which has been replaced by the Oasis 3. Amazon has definitely clearly marked them as the older model, but just be careful none the less. Since they had 5 monthly payment deal offer, I went ahead and got an Oasis 3 8GB plus black cover. Merry Christmas to me! Hopefully it works out and is much better than the older blue tinted Paperwhites I tried out a few years ago. |
